I don't think its right that you have to play at the weekend

It would appear from the interview that it is our decision to go ahead, I wonder how many of the remaining squad are actually wanting to play knowing that three players who they have all been around are standing down. I cannot believe Warrington would want to put their own players at risk after their own problem with the virus.
I know that the fixtures must be completed and I really do hope that SL are on top of this or we could find further players standing down.

The fixture going ahead makes little sense in the light of the Catalans/Wigan game being postponed. This season is really crazy, and it's hard to see all the fixtures being fulfilled.

I think we have given up on this season as a club and are just trying to get through the remaining fixtures regardless of the outcome. This is the only explanation why we would agree to this game going ahead. It could explain the teams recent lack of interest but not their performances in the last 26 games.

Seems unfair that we're playing. If we've agreed to then that seems foolish. Doesnt come across well when Wakefield has on the verge of increased Covid regulations for weeks, yet the rugby team apparently ignore, or are encouraged to ignore, protocols.

You do realise that they are following the guidance and instruction of the test and trace team.

What is your point?

Providing it's safe to do so, the club needs to do everything it can to complete the season. We're not get relegated and we're not finishing in the play offs, the results are meaningless. Just getting a team out to play is a success in times like this and worth remembering when calling for Chester's head. Regardless of score, I won't be criticising any player who takes to the field this weekend.

We might see a few more young lads this week its what some of the keyboard coaches have been preaching but that is a no win for the coaching staff if they get beat of course. Onward and upwards give them the game time is what I say as long as the team leave it on the field who cares what the score is its all meaningless anyway this season, the cute coaches will get the players experienced but the clever bit is doing it right.

Catalans Dragons' Super League match against Leeds Rhinos on Monday, September 7 has been postponed after positive tests for COVID-19 at the French club.

Three players and one non-playing member of staff at the Dragons returned positive tests on Tuesday following the win over Wakefield Trinity in the Challenge Cup last weekend.

That saw this Saturday's scheduled match against Wigan Warriors postponed, with the Cherry and Whites playing Castleford Tigers instead.
