I take it you don't have a Sky subscription? If you saw us last season you would have had a good taster as how good our backs are. I know I'm biased but I genuinely think we probably have the fastest (and potentially all round best) backs in the league at the moment.

Yes, I wish Ryan well and think he can settle for a good future with us. His heart is certainly at Wakefield and he has a lot of potential to be our long term half back.

As an aside I just hope that his "mates" behave themselves. That lad who ran onto the pitch on Friday should have been thrown out. Don't need people like that tarnishing the image of the club. By all means get excited, enjoy the moment and celebrate. But for goodness sake don't embarrass yourself or the club. (When you watch the highlights you can clearly see a sign near the half way line which states it is illegal to go onto the pitch - before anyone has a go at me for being a snowflake.)

I get the logic but it sure as hell makes the S/R selection a bit congested. I'm all for competition that's a heck of a lot of players competing for 3-4 places. Who moves out?

Yes at a ground with over eager night club bouncers running the show things may have been different.

He's OK, at 20 he has loads of time as does Crowther. The rest however it does make you wonder.

Surely, he will be used primarily as a Lock.

Seriously by the time we got to the cup games we didn’t have 13 fit players and the squad is very similar in size this year so am sure everyone will get a run at some point

Agree we're well stocked in the second row and personally if you're looking for an ideal sized Prop it's Pauli, especially as he gets more fit and the weather improves.
Not one to question CC but we have Fifita, England, Hirst, Huby, and Baldwinson, plus Pauli, so it's not like they're not all going to get plenty of game time, especially as the season goes on. I can see the thinking of it, a bit how Salford used BMM last year but the back row is so well stocked this year. with the addition of Horo and Batch and Crowther being a year older.

Saying that could you imagine a pack that had Fifita, England, Huby, and Hirst as Props and Pauli in the back row, with Ashurst & Horo. Pretty formidable, especially when Randall comes back as well.

Maybe, Chester and Pauli are trying to give Salford something to think about.
He looked pretty quick on Friday, chasing the high ball and the KR defender showed a fair amount of bottle taking the kick with PP charging onto the ball.
Many a player would have looked at who was coming and lost sight of the ball.

I was in the stand and I lost sight of the ball!

With Huby available I could see the logic of Pauli interchanging with Arona at Loose Forward with one of Hampshire or Randel being on the bench.

That would mean starting with a middle unit of Fifita, England, Arona and Wood being interchanged with Huby, Hirst, Pauli and Randel/Hampshire.

The impact of those interchanges after 25 minutes of coping with the starters would have a big say in matches.

Love it. That would work for me.
