As ever you miss the point. Brough, Murphy and Ferguson came through our Academy as ironically did Wood who you rather idiotically included in your list. None of our so called Hudds players came through your Academy but were in typical style pinched from other struggling clubs at NO cost to yourselves. Do you see a pattern here?

And with the Giants u20s getting smashed by 60+ last weekend I believe its probably a pattern that is likely to continue.

we play them on Saturday according to League Express. Its great to watch the U 20s team and lets hope plenty get down to Belle Vue Saturday

No luv you get your fact straight - the Academy team he played for will have been at that point Huddersfield-Sheffield Giants if I'm not mistaken - a completely different club so I'm told. - I believe that pretense lasted about 3-4 seasons from 1999 which puts Raliegh in the frame.

Raleigh left our Academy for Sheffield in 2002 i think
plus its not a different club its the same club that just changed names ...the sheffield club were the 'new' club

The original clubs were Sheffield and Huddersfield.
These two clubs merged to form the club that is in existance today even though the original idea of a new merged name was dropped. The original clubs ceased to exist once the merged club was formed.
Another Sheffield club was formed.
No other Huddersfield club has ever been formed.

doesn't bother me in the slightest to be honest, i do live with it, thats why i buy a season ticket for my club every year and go to every game etc etc......its in the past, we try not to remember too much about those days that why our fans rarely mention it .............in fact it seems the Wakefield fans are the only ones in RL who still chirp on about it, one could say its you lot that havent managed to live with it !!!!

When you have been treat as poorly as we believe we have by the RFL, its not too hard to understand why we are vocal about how we perceive other clubs get treat, especially if we are likely to be on the wrong end of any sufferance that may result in that "better" treatment being given.
Consider us the Mulder and Scully of RL, it might not always be true, but sometimes it is and "they" don't want anyone to know!

Andy left the Giants Academy in September 1999 to study at Newcastle University. He joined Sheffield in the summer of 2002.

I can take 'em or leave 'em. It just gets my goat when their fans ignore the repeated RFL bias that started with the clubs original elevation to Super League and continued for many years. I never start a thread but am always willing to respond.
