I would much rather we wait until we have this sorted before announcing anything.
Isaac shouldn't be a problem, he has no previous and a clean background with reasonable NRL experience.
Tim on the other hand has a great deal of experience at the top level, has previously obtained a visa, but lets just say a "colourful" backstory. He may be an issue. Won't have come cheap though so we can always take his potential wage back to Australia and scout another player.

Nothing to worry over, just yet anyway. Bluey won't be over until the end of next month anyway.

I agree. I've always felt Morro was better drifting in and out of the game ala Leon Pryce style rather than a Hendo or Bethamesque workhorse, coming off the bench to have a energised crack would suit me fine.

I was told the same although there is apparently issues over John as he has not played enough first grade games to warrant a visa. If this drags on for a long time as it appears to be and they cant come, who will be available at that stage ? I think the stories on Tim Smith's issues may also have a bearing even if he does arrive

Been chatting with Isaac on Twitter for a couple of weeks now & he's not said anything about any issues that could stop him (not that means that there isn't any!), he's very enthusiastic about coming over. His experience may be limited but the fact that he has junior Kiwi honors must count for something, it shows he has the potential if nothing else!

The point remains valid - the whole silly system needs sorting out, to prevent the type of shenanigans that most clubs get up to in respect of overseas players. The Willie Mason debacle was a low point for RL and should have sent a strong message to the RFL that their quota rules are in need of urgent reform.

The rules are international trade laws, the RFL have to obey, restraint of trade otherwise. Maybe the clubs could be a bit more honest?
