I'm not entirely sure where he will fit in. I don't think he's got what it takes to play in the halves and he didn't look great a full back, although granted he's had limited opportunity there. At the moment Tony looks like the best option there.

He showed potential at 6 when playing with Lee (dare I speak his name here) e.g Catalans away, Bradford away, Hull KR home. With a continued run at 6 I think he'll turn out good there. Got pace for it too.

Hyde's best game was Cas away but I get the feeling that he will never quite be good enough to cut it at SL level.

I've got Good News and Bad News:

Good News is that the board at the top of Broadway in Lupset is no longer being used to advertise the Bradford game.

Bad News is it's not being used to promote the Season Ticket deal or anything else either because it has gone!!

They're horrible anyway - they look low rent and chatty.

We should get some of those massive bill-boards in strategic places - the ones that Eric France has, until recently, been plastering with scantily clad ladies; they certainly grab the attention.

I'd also invest in a couple of those tow-along boards - stick them on the back of vehicles on weekends and drive them around town, parking in high volume areas for periods of time, them moving on. If you want to be radical, there's even a Leeds based company that featured on Dragons Den last year - they hire out electronic ones that can be towed on a bicycle - few of those round Wakefield city centre on a weekend are bound to grab attention; they're green and healthy too, so a good fit with a sports business.

It's not, as they say, rocket science.

So why do us amateurs (in a well meaning way) come up with these things and the pros come up with nothing? Very odd. Where's our 'brilliant' TV ad now?
