With this addition and hopefully the return of England we should get some much needed size in the pack. We have been struggling all season in that department despite some valiant efforts.

I'm not expecting anything instant but with a few games under his belt and Moore returning soon we'll be a lot better off hopefully.

Just the lift we needed going into the game with Huddersfield and with a bit of a question mark over how he will affect our performance so if it distracts Huddersfield then that works for me

Just been reading the cronulla forum - they didn't want him to go and were giving him high praise until as recently as March this year.

Apparently not getting much game time - which the supporters don't agree with.

A few quotes:

"Pretty disappointed to hear that. I only saw David play a few times but I was pretty impressed with him whenever he played 1st grade. I don't know why he was so far down on the list in the 1st place."

I think hudds will already be distracted. U19s player Ronan Costello air lifted to hospital yesterday and match against Salford abandoned. I think that will be preying on the players minds.

No, no details about the type of injury sustained, or his condition. Just that it was a serious injury and he was air lifted to Leeds general infirmary.

Ronan Hit his head on the ground whilst being tackled, no foul play or blame with anyone, just a freak accident.

He was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary where he underwent surgery for his injury, he remains there in a critical condition.

I've coached against Ronan for a number of years and have been his coach at Huddersfield for the last two years. He is a strong character and a superb young man, all at Wakefield Trinity are thinking of him and my prayers and best wishes are with him and his family at this really difficult time.

Odd thing is I've been on the Cronulla forums and they don't seem to agree with you at all. Aussie fans are usually very derogatory about any player who as they see it has to resort to SL. In David's case they mostly to a fan seem to think the move away from his twin in particular will do him some good yet they are sad to see him go. Finally they have no doubts whatsoever that the potential is there.

So on reflection I'll continue to ignore your feux expertise and listen to our coach and actual Cronulla supporters - oh and most vitally give the lad a chance and see how he goes in a Trinity shirt (a pleasure you will never have I suspect) - thanks.

Lots of the Cronulla fans question why he has not been getting game time and think he is a lot better than they have had on the subs bench and if you watch some of the clips of him he can certainly motor for his size. Chester thinks he will add whats needed to the squad so that will do for me.

Think I'll trust Chester's opinion, but thanks anyway.

Even if he's as poor as you suggest, he's only here until the end of the season, with an option for next year.

At the very least, he allows us to rest a very tired squad.

well unlike you guys I have watched him in nsw cup at least 8 times this year!! I probably am entitled to a opinion.

fyi I live in Cronulla so I know and here a lot from the guys there.

Personally I'll give the bloke a chance to prove himself before writing him off. I'd have thought this would be an excellent chance for him to show what he can do and a great chance to get a team sorted for next year. I've only seen him a few times the past few years but he can shift for a big bloke , has a good offload and is obviously a nightmare to dominate in the tackle.

SL is totally different to the NRL so we should give the bloke a chance I think.
