| As I see it, the Club has to fit in to whatever structure they (the clubs) have voted for. Whether the fans like, agree or care about it, is, in the most part completely irrelevant. We (the fans) pay gate money to watch a product on the field, if that is in a league of 14, 10, 12, 3 x 8, 2x 9, 17 x 36, i would guess that 90% really don't care what the structure is or how it will "benefit" the club, because when it comes down to it "benefitting" the club usual equates to more money for the owners and not a lot else.

The chairmen have made their decisions, we have the choice of a muffin made of EDIT
There is nothing to question, as is ever the case with SL or the RFL.
The process from start to finish never considered our little club and its supporters.
It was the chairmen wanting more and the rfl maintaining power, what we have is a no-mans land of crack pottery where the average supporter is not considered and one way or another the greedy chairmen will get what they want and the rfl get to stay in charge.
We will as ever kick against the system, it is our way - but i dont honestly think there is much to discuss.
We turn up until we are told not to.

I genuinely think your comments are disingenuous to those involved - especially to those from Leeds and St Helens who have taken a vote based on the good of the game and not the greed for their own clubs. I also think that they would, in the short term at least, be better off under the alternative proposals than they are with this, but they have seen fit to look at the bigger picture for the game as a whole and I applaud them for it.
Just because its new, or not what was expected, does not make it wrong. It has flaws, but it 'could' work - given a chance!

Perhaps but that doesnt detract from the point that there is little to discuss though.
The decision has been made, we will be likely to be tipped as one of the favourites to suffer as is ever the case.
We just have to get on with it as best we can

| The idea of the Forum was to hear about the new structure and how it will operate. Also to hear from Michael Carter as to why he voted in the way he hid which I assume was because he thought it was in the best interest of the game and Wakefield Trinity.
People are correct, its a done deal and we have to get on with it. If fans feel there is no point in having a Forum on the subject then we'll think of something else.

| I'd rather attend a forum on youth development, with a genuine and meaningful report on how the 1873 money has been used, what it will be used for in future and how it will create a system whereby the best young players from the area will be attracted to, and retained by, WTW; ideally, I'd like to hear from the person overseeing youth development to understand the strategy and vision, and from some of the players and parents involved, to understand the reality of participating.
I've suggested it 3 or 4 times in the past to no avail, so here it is again.

That's valid and understood!
This is something we can look at as it fits in with other things at the moment.
I still feel that many would benefit from the opportunity to have explained the new structures, the reason for them and have the opportunity to ask for a bit more detail.

| The league structure will be explained by the RFL eventually.
The youth policy as Bren2k details would be very much new news and worth hearing (and probably the only way we will hear it.

Looking forward to the RFL explaining the new structure. Suppose they will first have to consult with the 5 year olds who dreamt it up.

| I do understand the desire of the club to sell this new concept to an already disenfranchised audience.
Two things occur to me that would be relevant to the club
What will a season ticket look like should we be fortunate enough to be in the chosen 12 next season?
How will the club sell the concept of a lower standard of football to the fans for the latter part of the season?
So far the statistics suggest that people are not prepared to come out in the same numbers fore either cup or play off games... Gates for super league clubs in tier 2 are likely to be halved from the rest of the season... How will the club survive this? Plus the structure only allows for three home games during thus phase...
Given the opportunity I would attend games... But this new structure now reduces the opportunity for genuine progression to be a competitive club... For all the league members.

| Your season ticket buys you 11 home games, the additional 3/4 games are extra. At a guess once the 23rd game has been played a mini season ticket could be sold, cost dependent upon which 8 the club finds itself in.

That last sentence is completely wrong. If you work hard enough and can generate the audience and the cash you can now progress from whatever base right to the top.
3 homes in thus phase results in 14 overall, and most with something to play for. We only get 13 currently and several of those were pointless last season!

These are the things that need debate... And whilst I respect your experience and knowledge... I am long enough in the tooth to recognise a poor proposition.
Fir the majority of the lower end of the top 12, they will have to plan their business for the end of season middle tier it will encourage clubs to overstretch further... Those most at risk will be those striving fir the top eight... Clubs like trinity with limited resource will plan for and achieve tier two mediocrity unable to compete with the top clubs but too good for those on lesser resources.
I said before rl deserves so much better than this.

It's a poor proposition - in your opinion. I can respect your choice, but wish that you and others would at least give it a chance.
A lot will depend on each clubs own ambitions and, to a degree, how the season starts, but then what's new about that?

My understanding is that you pay for 14 games and if you're lucky enough to be in the top 4 of the top 8 or the Championship you get a 15th free.

I have supported this club through thick, thin and desparation. Finishing 12th in the second division was the worst... Fans have been pulled through the torment of justifying our promotion to SL, the frachise applications and the crusaders fiasco. I will support the club in whatever Mickey mouse competition and Fred carno administration that operates the game.
But to ask that I give, yet another nonsesical tangent of management 'a chance'
No no and a thousand times no... It doesn't deserve it, the administrators don't deserve it the game deserves better.
I will continue to decry thus scheme until commonsense and propper management planning prevaiils.

And what is to say that several won't be pointless in the new abomination, sorry, structure? Once a team realises that it isn't going to reach the golden 8, which could well be with at least half a dozen games remaining, then there is nothing for them to play for until the farce, sorry, split commences. It makes no difference whether you finish 9th or 12th as the points are wiped. So dead rubbers for some teams will remain and this more competitive game speil will be a fallacy.

I would imagine that's the Lottery Manager looking to get amateur clubs to flog memberships and paying them a commission - much like they do now with individual sellers.
