Thanks for posting that. Some cracking tries scored there but, clearly, not the one that was in my mind.
There's no fun getting old

There should be a most memorable Wigan game you went to thread
I was at central park for a midweeker to watch Henry Paul pull their pants down with a load of mashed Leigh fans......that was memorable

Loving that idea Upanunder
There's been a few over the years.
My first ever game was at home v Wigan in 1988.
Belle Vue was packed and Trinity won 25-20
The patched up side, with Dave Halley on loan from Bradford "having" to play the mighty Wigan on the opening day of the season
https://www.skysports.com/rugby-league/ ... ield/20566
It was well worth the trip.
Absolutely no expectation of getting anything from the game and yet came home victorious.
The "Wigan Virus" game at Belle Vue
62 0 to Trinity: /www.skysports.com/rugby-league/wakefield-vs-wigan/44413
Mind you, we've had some pastings too so, shouldn't get too carried away !

It wasn't my first game but I was there, can't remember much but it was the first game of the season.
I was in my usual spot, on that plynth/raised bit, Wigan kicked off from the Benidorm end which was empty grass back then, Henderson Gill was 10ft away and shipped some horrific abuse by todays standards the entire half, and belly laughed the full 40, bit of a legend really.
I remember leaving at full time wondering that we might actually be some good that season
We werent...

Know most think he is not a good pundit on Sky ( like the others pundits) But you could not fault him as a player for Wigan or G B think as a legend he may come up a bit short but still a great player
