Nah he’s a good player always has been, not a world beater but good. Let’s be fair here he was one of a huge number of local lads he didn’t want to join us at the time including the now near martyr Hampshire so I have no issue. The only one who ever bothered me was Langley who made it so obvious.

Pitts did play for us though. When 19 and younger than he should played when we had bad injury crisis and losing players because we couldn't afford them. I reckon he made a good decision to leave, just not a good decision to go to Leeds. Could have developed quicker but I thought he came through ok at Hull.

As you say above, he's only good but good all the same. I think he's rated exactly where he should be. Not an international but good for his club.

Amor and Luke would be adding two 32 year olds which along with Brough and Atkins would certainly increase our average age. I know we are looking for experience but that would be getting a bit too much.

Surely it's skill and fitness that count not age.

Yes but how many other over 30’s do they have to play with. The problem with age and experience is injury due to the wear and tear of playing RL plus the two you refer to are in teams that are of better quality than ours which makes it easier.
How many so called world beaters have changed clubs and disappeared into oblivion, when they don’t have the quality around them.

Not a problem with age of any player as long as their up for the fight and not here to wile away a pay packet ,we’ve had a belly full of those type already .Get a good mix of experience and youth and you won’t go far wrong as long as their all committed to the cause and bring something to the squad they’ll do for me .

I was referring to the posters assertion that Pitts joined us under sufferance as an Academy player, I know he played for us at first team level for about half a season if i remember correctly.

Your squad should just be about good enough to avoid relegation again but can’t see anything higher than 9th for you, way too many average players and a poor coach

agreed that is our goal every year to stay in super league ,its sad but that is the way it is.

Pitts came through and played at a difficult time for the club and made a very good impression as a young prop. Unfortunately, he was a lifelong Leeds fan and when they came knocking he was lured by the opportunity to fulfil a childhood ambition. A poor move from him as he was a long way from breaking into that Leeds pack and his development probably suffered until he moved on again.

I can't recall him having a poor game for us and he would be a welcome addition now.

How can you give an honest opinion when the squad will look fairly different come the start of the season. Two overseas/Non fed spots to fill and about 6/7 to come in.
