Matthew Ellis doesn't run his own business. He runs a business owned by his parents.
The money to be invested is in that business not in Matt's pocket (though I'm sure he isn't poor). So the question was, can we meet the people with the money.....not can we meet your dad.

Meeting all investors is a very different and reasonable request.

There are 3 directors. Matthew is one of them. His parents are the other 2. Do you really think he’s just thought f$€k it I’ll go buy a rugby club without speaking to the other directors first? I've been told the work with the rfl, the due diligence was finished weeks ago, was also told at the wigan game it was 2 more weeks which Carter was slightly disappointed with as he wanted it finished before he went away but I'm just a liar to you pop tart. We are not looking at an hostile takeover but a necessary one which should be expedited without delay. We are still facing relegation and what will JM do if Ellis walks away because JM cannot fund the club. If he was a true supporter he would know that without the investment we are just facing stagnation both on and off the field.
We have been craving for investment, it may not bring back the glory days but it certainly gives us a fighting chance which on our current trajectory does not.

And what is there to delay. It was mentioned at the meeting that the rush to handover has in some ways gone away. He's given the money that helps us battle relegation. Its better to take the time over the takeover.
There is every likelihood that the delay is on Ellis's side so he can see whether we win on Friday. His investment is massively different based on that result.

The investment would change based on whether any investor is buying a SL club or Championship club..
Winning on Friday is certainly helpful and a further step towards securing a spot in SL.
However, beating Cas, on it's own will not secure our SL status.
In this respect, our grading with IMG is actually as important and maybe more important for any would be investor.

Ellis deserves credit for stumping up the cash to give us a chance of still being in the fight by financing many of the new signings. I wonder how many think that JM would have been able to do the same and what position would we be in.
I just wish we could get Ellis’s side because all we have is what the current incumbent because I have not read anything from MC is saying and then maybe the uneducated supporters and those who believe themselves to be superior will be able to make an informed decision. I just hope that we the uneducated should it happen will be able to understand all the intricacies and make up our own minds and not be like sheep and follow wherever they are told to go by the current incumbent Shepherd.

Its not just about the individual, but about the process (or lack of) surrounding the appointment. The sooner the chancers who are failing the club at board level are out of the way, the better

He does deserve some credit for that.

What he has done by doing that is take the pressure off the takeover. It doesn't have to be rushed as he has done what needs to be done this year.

I don't really know why people are so bothered for it to be rushed.

It’s based on fear that it will be cocked up again when we are so near. I just hope the incumbent isn’t pushing Ellis into a corner because if he walks then so does our future because we need his type of investment to help us compete at the top. I regret accountants are not business people, they help maximise a company’s profitability but do not actually generate any of the actual income.

There are no winners in these discussions. Jm put last few years keeping trin afloat and hopefully new man taking us further. If these people looked at this forum I won't blame all for walking away.
