It`s a strange one, you would imagine that Fifita isn't happy playing for the Jets, I think Morris must have some kid of vendetta against him or have some sort of falling out as he went well in pre season and he never seems to drop players that have bad games week on week.

I go back to this every time but when Pauli Pauli arrived in the country, I saw him and spoke to him at Manchester airport (He actually told me that he was here to play for Wakefield), the rumour at the time that we had signed him was denied and when I posted on here by daddycool, I posted he must have signed for another club as I had just seen him at the airport and I was called a liar on the basis that he was still over in AUS.

The reason is very simple, agents will use Trinity as a bargaining chip. The players are happy enough to play for us but would obviously prefer Saints. If we don't give them the oxygen to spread the fire then bigger clubs lose interest. It goes way back. Solomona was sone under such secrecy that his team photo was ready well before his signing was announced. Heatherington was spitting feathers he'd missed Solomona, ask him, he still doesn't know how Trinity kept it so under the radar.

Ditto Kelepi. It's very hard for us to sign quality as we are never the first choice. The only positive is that most NRL players don't know who we are and probably get us mixed up with that legendary club that used to exist in the 1960s.

John Morris won’t be coaching them next year, they just appointed Craig Fitzgibbon as coach starting next season. Talk is Morris might get the push in the next couple of weeks as well. Could be a clean slate for Fifita there now, depends on what the new coach wants.

And yes he has been banned for a crusher tackle for the next 3 games anyway. To be honest if on social media you’ve seen the shocker of a late shot he somehow got away with the week before he should have been sat down down for a lot longer.

Morris has gone now so expect AF will be waiting to see what kind of shot he gets from the interim boss. He's off contract in 2022, he's on a good deal. He may be better advised to sit tight at the moment.

Was talking to big Dave yesterday and he reckons his brother will arrive next week. Make of that what you will. He might have been winding me up but it didn't appear so. We shall see.

Undoubtedly he’s a top name. I just worry about how much game time we will get out of him. He’s lost weight so I suspect he will be fit despite knee issues. If he comes over with the right attitude then he’s definitely an upgrade on what we currently have, no question. He might not offer that much himself but he might bring the best out of David? One thing is for certain we won’t be getting the Andrew Fifita of 3/4 years ago!

However, if he comes over with a lazy attitude then to me it will be a disaster and a potential waste of cash that we might have been able to use on a young NRL prop who can’t get game time with a potential recruit over here added in. We are in a real battle this year and I question whether he’s the sort of player who’s up for a survival campaign. I think the Eddie Battye type players are the ones to get us out of the hole.

It’s all ifs and buts and a risk. I just hope that if he does come over he buys in to what the club needs. Is he playing for the club or his brother?
