We had two better fullbacks on the field than the one playing full back, Pitts was really unlucky as he stood up to mickey max and we should have had the penalty on the back but hey get it and score so game over, putting an innexperienced winger with an inn-experienced was all Catalan needed to score 3 tries, great game play from our coach, senior did good ball in hand and was a tad unlucky by cannot turn on his feet to tackle, fifita dint look like he wanted to upset his new employers, but we were better than last week

Mcllorum is constantly 3rd man in around the head and he’ll continue to do us unless the referee takes control. Kendall hasn’t got a back bone and Pitts took it in to his own hands, no doubt frustrated with the lack of input from the ref. I do think we lack some aggression as a team at times but Kendall never called the high shot as far as I could tell?

Some bad calls against us which didn’t help but overall an improvement on last week.

Our back line was inexperienced and Catalan used that to their advantage kicking early and turning us round. We struggled to gain any momentum from the back.

I do question our forwards at times with the exception of Koppy who I thought played well. Fifita was poor and doesn’t seem himself. Needs to start running into the ball instead of running sideways.

Attacking wise we look flat with no real structure or direction.

I’ve nothing against walker and I’m not singling him out but I’m yet to see anything to suggest he’s any better than Max.

Not sure if I’m expecting too much overall but there’s still massive improvements needed imo.

The BBC coverage is not as good as SKY, poor build up and some of the camera work was poor and hardly any replays .

No, there were some pathetic calls but to say it was his fault, would be ridiculous.

I did but then again i aren't of a fan who's team has just lost, where most fans are concerned these days its always the refs fault.

FWIW i thought he controlled it well especially when it threatened to get out of hand, he was assertive and laid down the law and i cannot recall any major call he got wrong - obviously you will have done as it's your team but as a neutral i thought he refereed the game in a fair and controlled manner.

Wakefield's defence, mainly on your right hand side lost you that game not the referee.

Yes, absolutely no doubt our right side was where it was lost...a 19 year old usual left centre playing right centre and a full back who’s aspiring to play scrum half on the right wing...Catalans took full advantage of that and look a good side going forward...the frustration for me from Kendall is it took 69 minutes for us to get a repeat set despite numerous absolute stone wallers not given prior...also thought Tanginoa hit one of their players with a peach of a tackle that hit the ball but was given as a high shot but no replay on bbc...no question the best team won though..

I think he may be referring to Greensmith who has played with Croft for the last 3 years in the academy, maybe put max to full back in that case, got to be better than walker who was consistently out of position.


Saying that, Hampshire on the wing, Bailey in the 1/2’s and Jowitt at full back works for me

Funny how all the neutral commentators on the bbc were all complementary on how we reacted to lady week and how well we did against an excellent side who will be challenging on all fronts...yet our own so called supporters just moan and be negative....

You can be what you want chief including being your usual sarcastic self, my reply was in response to a poster what was asking if we were prepared to pay more for better players, or stay as we are buying squad players who it would seem aren't prepared to come and play for next to nothing, hope that goes some way to explain my post.

Stats are up and shows there wasn’t that much difference in the forwards...maybe their bench had more impact than ours but Fifita and Arona statistically stood up well enough against their opposing players...difference between the two teams was blatantly obvious and I’d pay no blame to anyone...we go again next week...

What’s our record 5 wins out of 26 games ? Can’t all be down to refs and luck. Can’t see us getting much joy out of next few games either. Perhaps we just expect too much But can honestly say have never been quite so disappointed
