Vastly - TJ is down on himself for last nights performance. On another day those Missed chance could cost us dearly, all were not easy, but all were catchable. It's not a cardinal sin to comment that a player hasn't had the best day at the office, even I feel the two tries were superb! If he's going to be the player we all think he will be, he has to be better than that and the fact that he knows it is step one!

That's the point so why criticise him further - unbelievable

In my opinion TJ has been getting a great deal of praise from the media and in some ways it has put him up on a pedestal. Lets not forget he is still young and inexperienced and I believe he was basically trying too hard.

He has put himself under pressure to try and please the media. Someone needs to sit down with him, tell him to forget all the hype and try and take the pressure away. He needs to remember he is still young and learning and to relax, his game will then improve.

Oh and by the way, whilst TJ is under the spotlight, BJB on the other wing is quietly getting on with business and having a great season. In all my years watching I am sure this is the fastest wing pairing in the clubs history.
Lets enjoy it and make the most of it while it lasts.

He will be putting himself under pressure and is probably a little frustrated watching bjb doing the business on the other side.
Its perhaps not surprising he's dropped a few.
Naturally he's gonna beat himself up a bit till the next game, if he plays a blinder in it, this weeks game will rightfully be forgotten.
He's missed a few toughies he himself would have expected get, it didn't effect the result but from a team perspective, no harm done, I'm more concerned with why generally he isn't getting those opportunities to drop in the first place.

Best performance of the season.

Dont think TJ is being bagged. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and as players take plaudits should be prepared to take a bit of criticism now and again, especially if it is constructive.

To his standards he probably thought overall his game was down. He sets himself high standards and is only young. He was certainly annoyed with himself.

Lets enjoy the good win, not many win at Catalans like that, and look forward to Widnes

It was funny when Tom got his second try, as soon as the ball was in his hands Carney said "that's a try". It's great to have so much pace out wide. It seems a long time since our wingers got a ball on there own 20m line and I was supremely confident that we'd score, happy days.

Enjoy the victory, is a young a winger not allowed a bit of slack, only at Wakefield can we find a negative when there was so much to praise.

Reminds me very much of the Martin Offiah era when the crowd would lift when he took the ball. Very exiting and good to see his self reflection of his performance.

No it's called not reading posts properly - at no point did i ever say TJ or anyone else was above criticism - I said this was not one of those moments - there is a world of difference.

He missed some sitters it true but it wasn't a lack of effort just one of those days but boy he made up for it with two interceptions.. that reaction alone speaks volumes for the lad and deserves praise not sniping.

Name me another player in our squad who's head wouldn't have gone down - I can't only TJ has that level of self belief.

To me pop tarts reaction was typical trim, it won't be until he's gone that some will finally realise what we have in this lad - a genuine competitor.

In the meantime we'll pick up on every little fault, dwell on it for weeks and forget to enjoy the positives - thank you for listening

Completely OTT. Tom had a poor game by his own standards but is blessed with the ability to make amends to some degree. His talent is outstanding, but he's only human. We were lucky it wasn't a close game, but Tom will come back stronger!

Sorry Phil but no I'm not having that, he didn't have a poor game he scored two blistering tries for a start. He missed three good opportunities but only one was a walk in. Rest of his game was sound. It's not me being OTT it's you I'm afraid.

You're a father and that's a bit like being a coach, do you point out every single mistake your lad makes? I know you don't and the same applies to players especially younger ones. There is a time and a place for kicking and yesterday was not it - TJ's self punishment was enough IMHO.

There was one Trinity player on the park yesterday who on that showing though through no fault of his own needs putting out to grass - but why make an issue of it now, we won so I won't even though I now sort of have.

Wow - what's being a dad got to with anything? He missed 3 chances, 2 you would normally expect him to take. He also got in a poor position on a couple of occasions defensively! Ask Tom if he thought he had a good game - I know he doesn't think that as he has said it himself! So what's the problem with us acknowledging reality?

I also thought Finn was poor - he gave away at least 3 cheap penalties. I'm not gonna blow smoke for the sake of it.

To balance the books, I thought Kirmo and Ashurst were outstanding, Big Dave was strong all game and Williams, Tupou and Arundel went well with Bish catching the eye!

I will give you Finn gave a couple of silly penalties away but he is the only pivot who can steer the team around the park without him on the field we struggle with game management
