This side footing which is a regular happening by TRB regarding the future of WTW is besides being frustrating but also a big concern for the fans who are losing faith in the spin offered to them, and now you would deny the fans the right to ask for information regarding the future of the club by asking the moderators to silence them by threats, is that what we have now come to

So basically then anybody that does not agree with you and the rest of swag and it's associates are trolls and their opinions dismissed out of hand simply because they're tired of listening to the same old propaganda.

Complaining about people's efforts achieve nothing however I haven't seen many complaining about the time and effort that individuals have put in its more about the feed back from all the meetings that have been attended.
It's understandable that the lack of information will cause frustration and question what the hells going on. For people to give up their own time to attend the meeting just goes to show how passionate people can be , but I totally understand how difficult it could be to thank people and congratulate them for their efforts when you have no idea what's going on.

It's not really that hard - we know that TRB et al are representing the trust and 95% of Wakey fans at these meetings. We know that the meetings will be taking place

I'd love to know all the ins and outs but if they say they cant divulge for the good of the negotiatiion, then they cant divulge. Why is it so hard to accept?

Well done to those guys for actually getting off their backside and trying to make something happen, even if it doesn't end in success, then at least they can say they had a go, rather than just sit at a keyboard whinging about lack of progress like some on here.

The total lack of feedbacks the major problem not the effort people that have a passion have put in. I have never been in the new stadium at Newmarket camp and to be totally honest couldn't give a toss if it gets built or not.
I would also never have a go at people who give up time on a voluntary basis to fight a cause they feel they have to fight but because of my lack of interested the outcome is totally irrelevant to me.
For people who back a new stadium at Newmarket and are frustrated at the information they receive it's totally understandable the backlash that gets circulated..

Yes, well done to those guys for actually getting of their backsides and trying to make a difference, I'm sure everybody on here are proud of them and applaud their efforts, and as you say if it all comes to nothing at least they can say they've given it their best shot, if you'd care to look through the thread nobody has disagreed with you or complained about the lack of progress made, that being the nub of the matter, nobody knows what progress is being made which in turn is causing frustration to some fans myself included who aren't whinging as you put it, but merely voicing their opinion of the lack of information available, but if it suits you to change what's written in front of you to suit your argument then fill your boots squire.

I get the frustration, but why take it out on TRB etc, with the "if u havent got anything to say, then sod off" type comments? Surely its preferable to have reassurances that meetings are still taking place rather than people thinking its just ground to a shuddering halt?

Whether you'd call them whinging or not there's been a couple of y comments aimed at TRB.

On topic whether we end up moving or not, I think everyone can agree owning the ground again as a back up is very important to our future.

End of the day we all want a stadium fit for purpose for Wakefield and hopefully after a long hard battle we will end up getting one.

We are all frustrated and I have had a recent run in with TRB myself. However there is a world of difference between that and making it personal as gower did.

It's not that he's totally wrong - he isn't -but if we start fighting amongst ourselves and people like TRB walk away - and I would if I was him - then what slim chances we have disappear forever. I'm sorry if he's a mate of yours but he was utterly out of order with that post, TRB is a genuinely nice guy who gets nothing out of this except an ulcer and he didn't deserve it. He's not above questioning but at least keep it polite, surely that's fair.

Also strikes me as odd (and I don't wish to fall out with you over it) but why is the heat directed at TRB and why is it TRB's propaganda. At the end of the day he's just a fans representative, Michael Carter and Rodney Walker are far bigger players in this than TRB so why are people not venting their spleen on them?

I will however make one more plea to TRB - stop posting on this subject until you have some real news, good or bad - at the moment everything you say will be open to misinterpretation.

I clearly stated that it's through no fault of his own. TRB even stated that he had intentions to provide an update but for whatever reason didn't:



Granted, the "you" in the context of my original post was more aimed at the Trust (inclusive of Rodney Walker amongst others) rather than one individual and I accept could have been clearer with that. However, the efforts of that individual (TRB), have never been called into question. It's quite clear that any supporter who is willing to put their hand up to invest the time and effort that he has up to this point should be both supported and applauded. That's never been in doubt. What is in doubt is the need to provide an update that's no different from the previous update or the previous update before it, and that's been a recurring theme for the past X years. Hence the frustration.

Sure people will ask, but the method of response on the part of TRB in its current guise is not fit for purpose. It's ammunition to get shot at. And for the responsibility of any sound-bite to fall at the feet of one individual to speak on behalf of the Trust on this forum, frankly it's unfair.

It's a no win situation. If TRB doesn't post there'll be people on here criticising him for NOT keeping fans updated. If he does post updates saying things in general terms like "progressing but no details yet" then he'll be criticised for doing it when he should have kept quiet. For ****''s sake let him just get on with it and do things in the way he wants (or more likely has to) and let's just support him and the rest of the team.

He's certainly got my full support because without him and the others we woudn't even be in a position where any progress was possible.

The problem between reading something and hearing it first hand can be very misleading and sometimes taken out of context as in this case, I thought your post about trolling was a generalisation against all of us what had spoken out about our misgivings regarding the lack of information and not of Gower as an individual, which rather proves my point, perhaps you could sense some personal issues with him but in all honesty I thought it was to the point but fair and that's why I included him in my reply.


Regarding Carter and Walker, I'm quite sure that were these people available for comment on the subject, that TRB's life would a lot less stressful on here at least, unfortunately there not but TRB is and whether it's by accident or design he has set himself up as the spokesman on here, and rightly or wrongly people see him as the man in the know, he clearly does not have a mandate to come on here and tell us anything other than what he's been told to say hence my descriptive view as being propaganda, as you say it might be better if he only spoke out when there is something to say, less frustrating all round and deny's us antagonists any opportunity to vent our spleen

It does seem rather contrary that TRB feels compelled to give a carefully worded update that basically says nothing, whilst Michael Carter is in the media talking about making an offer on BV and stating that is his preferred option.

Surely Carter is looking at a possible personal business investment that will give him an even better return if Newmarket ever happens. He can't really lose can he?

Yeah exactly, struggling to understand the mindset of people who can't resist the urge to snipe at someone who is just letting us know that the process is still continuing, even if he can't give a full account of it. Surely it's better to have that than nothing at all.
