The latest would appear that we will have an announcement in the next few weeks maybe two. We are continuing to talk to Dewsbury but nothing about staying.

If we are leaving Belle Vue why are we advertising it as a venue for private and business functions. I know we have a notice period but why now when we are suppose to be moving to a new location.

All I am saying is I believe the vast majority of fans don't want to move what choices has been put to them to stop this happening.

The only choice I can see any fan having is winning the lottery,buying BV back from the BOI and redeveloping it.I'm sure MC and Co are doing every thing possible,a bit like Snowie and his team did,to bring it up to a minimum standard the other season,as they say ,action is louder than words.

From what we know I can see a clear choice either stay at BV at the cost of £250K a year or move out of town to Dewsbury. What the cost to play at Dewsbury is unclear but one thing I would guarantee is the loss of support. Will the difference make up the costs? What happens if we have reasonable year on the field, we'll certainly find it harder to win fans back playing away from our established home? Lets not forget the reason why the £250K is such a liability is because our crowds are poor which means our income is adequate. Thats down to the dross on the field due to tolerating terrible coaches for too long.

Does Carter see Wakefield Trinity as club that represents the community and the City or does he see it has a franchise that he can market better else where?

I don't see why it is guaranteed that a move to Dewsbury will lose support.
It's not like there are so many that live in Agbrigg or Belle Vue.

We are faced with it costs too much to stay at bell vue and yet at the same time been told that nothing has been spent on the ground ?
That the rent is too expensive yet this week at Wembley I am told no negotiation was carried out and indeed a very reasonable rent could be achieved.
We have swayed between developing bell vue and Newmarket once we leave then one of the options disappear and chances of developmen are nil.
With limited Information we are told that yourcourt are making offers to buy the ground if now this does not go ahead does that mean any enhanced value we may have achieved to help build Newmarket is thrown away?

Who can rely if past experience is anything to go by on super leagues assurances on our ability to get back or stay in super league if we move and what assurances have been given.

The point being not many turn up to watch Trinity at their ancestral home, how many are likely to turn up to another clubs ground? If you give people an excuse not to come they will more than likely take it.

Also the point being made by a previous poster is that most businesses would at least consider their most loyal consumer base before making a big decision which could affect their continued custom. This is a move which seems to being brought on by numbers alone with no consultation whatsoever.

Whist the move may save the club £250k per annum, it could cost the club not much less.

Ok, I don't have any inside information but let me give you my thoughts on the points you make.
Firstly, the cost of staying at Belle Vue is the rent of approx £120k per year, plus the "upkeep" which I believe amounts to about the same as we are told that it costs us £250k per year for BV.
As for negotiations with BOI, we're led to believe that we tried to do that and they wouldn't negotiate, which is why 6 months notice was given. I'm assuming that the person you spoke to at Wembley wasn't the CEO of BOI so the reasonable rent you were told about was probably guesswork, also see the first point, it's not just the rent but the additional costs of maintaining Belle Vue.
The rumour I heard about Yorkcourt's offer to buy BV (and I stress rumour as I don't know) was that they had offered a derisory figure that BOI would never accept and it was a publicity stunt conjured up by the council and Yorkcourt.
As for Dewsbury, I'd rather be at Belle Vue but if we can't afford it, then we can't afford it and we have to find somewhere to play. I'm not sure where else there is, but I'm sure that Michael Carter has looked at all the options and thinks this one makes the most financial sense.

As for spend on the ground Mr carter as said nothing on the ground hence the state of the pitch.
We do have a team of helpers ... perhaps the alleged 130k spent with suppliers would have resulted in some sponsorship?
