Regardless of the actual reason for the repeated delays, they're opening themselves up to allegations of ulterior motives; for example, a cynic might suggest that the longer it goes on, the more certain they will be of how many points they need to give back to make Bradford safe from the drop.

There is also the possibility that, if they do nowt, results may mean that any points deduction in irrelevant, especially if our own good form continues.
I have to say that, I would love the 2nd relegation spot to be between Bradford and Salford.
Can you imagine what RL's most outspoken chairman would have to say about any reinstated points, it this meant Salford going down.

I can't see for a minute that the Bulls will get six points back, it would make a mockery of the system in place, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got four back, however if we get to 18 points I really can't see Bradford winning eight more games than us over the last 14 games. Fingers crossed of course.

If we were safe just about and Salford's form continues, I can't think of anything funnier than Bradford getting points back and locking Salford into a relegation battle.

There is an article in the Telegraph from when Bradford were last in admin about them being braced for a points deduction and subsequently getting 6 points docked.
It also refers to Crusaders and Wake getting 4 points deducted before the start of the 2011, because the RFL were happy with their willingness to pay off some of the debt to their creditors.
I was expecting Bradford to get 2 points back but there seems to be no mention of paying back creditors, just the 'force majeure' route.
So can't see them getting owt back.

You are making the dangerous mistake of applying common sense and logic to this matter.

In 2011 you got four points for being in administration as did Crusaders when they did the same.

in 2001 you got 4pts lowered to 2pts on appeal and we went down so whilst I have no love for Bradford fairness would dictate a 2pt reduction to 4 pts for consistencies sake !!!

2001 was for salary cap breach not administration just forgot to add it !!

One would assume your probably right - however neither you or us received the support from the RFL Bradford have and they still managed to cock up, so maybe not.

The salary cap breach, I thought was lower because our breach was less than the people who got 4 points. I recall 4 being posted for some infringements and 2 for others.

I can't imagine the RFL did us any favours at the time but if it was reduced I can't remember the reasoning.

The thing that amazes me most is that we actually were in a position to break the cap!!!!

I think there were points for how much over the cap you were. We wee only jkust over I think because we didn't understand (knowingly or not I don't know) how some of the figures were allocated.

12 pages on something we have no control over. We do however have control over our performances, so just let the Bradford supporters worry and try to justify why they should get the points back. We have a good team and yet we are preoccupied with relegation.
I don't read similar threads on the Salford, Hull, Hull KR or Catalan forums and yet they appear no safer than us. If they can justify to an independent panel that they should get their points back because the second administration caused by the current owner was forced on them then good luck I say.

Ask any of those if they considered themselves (or consider themselves) to be bottom two material and they will all say no.
Ask any of the wider RL public if any of those clubs were to be considered to be bottom two material and i am certain at least two of those clubs would not have got a mention.
Ask our supporters who they would expect to be fighting it out for the bottom two and i am sure many would have said we would be in the mix.

I do agree though that this has become something of a forum obsession and like you think we are good enough to stay enough points clear of the Bulls if we continue to show the improvements of late.
I fully expect the Bulls points penalty to be (rightly or wrongly) reduced, so lets just concentrate on putting clear blue water between us and them by winning some more games.
We are closer to the top eight than we are relegation.

This all about money and who has the right to stop up, wakefield has gone about it the right way while bradford chose to cling on for as long aspossible

Unbelievably the reasoning for the reduction was that the administration meant that some of the money owed was never paid bring the amount Wakefield exceeded the cap by down.

In effect, in this case Wakefield got points back because of Admin.

They won't get anything back. MG is just chancing his arm as he has nothing to lose, apart from whatever the costs are.

MG put OK Bulls into administration to protect his own money and wants to claim that this was unforeseeable or unavoidable. Take over the assets of a club you placed into administration and try to get the insolvency punishment reduced?

Bad timing. Doesn't matter now what the actual reasons are (getting an independent panel together, collecting evidence etc. etc.) so so many people will now believe that the RFL will be influenced by the result of the Bradford v Wakefield match. There are enough conspiracy theorists around without creating the perfect environment for breeding them. You would hope they would think of that when planning these things. Oh sorry - I used "RFL", "think" and "planning" in the same sentence
