| Quote ="DAVE@CAS1990"can't Keinhorst, Lynne and Briscoe cover centre? and isn't Kirmo a centre/second row?
not seen your full squad of late to be sure, but money would be better spent covering other areas, possibly?'"
The first three you mention would be the likely ones to compete for that centre spot alongside Collis. Kirmond is a second row and hasn't played centre for over a year to my knowledge. Mariano did well at centre last year but he went over to the dark side unfortunately.
Need a stand off so hopefully Siejka will be on his way and there is money for him now..Sykes injury prone last year and is 33/34 and not got the pace of 5/6 years ago IMHO.
Another strong running proven specialist try scoring winger like Shaun Ainscough or Will Sharpe would be good with competition/cover for injuries also from Fox, Lynne and Briscoe. An extra bit of zip and biff out wide now Cockayne has gone would be good.
R.A. mentioned a few weeks ago that he'd like to bring in one more senior front rower as I think he'd like Tautai in the second row to utilise his pace out wide rather than as a prop.....Not a fan but Keith Mason now looking for a club via a Hull RLFC press release? Hull happy with Carvell....

| Thanks For that. At least we have options. We need to be winning the close games this year, so a good batch of kickers is vital.

Just seen it; is that part of the old deck-clearing exercise I wonder, or further confirmation that MC is making moves to bring someone new in? If so, they can only be from Bradford at this late stage?
Interesting times!

| Are we going to be able to secure any more signings to be fair. Who will let players go so close to start of season unless were looking in championship. Bradford arnt going to let players go now they avoided selling before why would they release players now. It doesnt make sense!

| Of course you are right, it's a bit late in the day for this, however would you believe anything that has come out from the Bradford club of late! It's a new company and I believe the employees have to TUPE over to that company, perhaps on reduced terms??

| The story still has some legs yet. Carvell seemingly gone.
28 day temp SL license in the hope that a new owner will come in with a better deal for the creditors. Richard Lamb showing interest. Maybe that's why the squad was kept together, to make it more attractive to a buyer.
If a new owner takes over, maybe he will see the need to cut costs?

Or from somebody else who is trying to create some room to fit a Bradford player in??
As for Lee Smith, not overly bothered. If we can strengthen off the back of it, so be it.

Have the RFL tried as hard to find us new investors since Glover left?

| The RFL aren't getting them the potential new owners for Bradford, they have to approve them, just like they did with Glover.

Are you really naive enough to believe that? The London based businessman who has a history in rugby union and just happened to have been involved with the RFL through some marketing work on the world cup just coincidently looked and saw a debt-laden club up north and thought 'i'll have a bit of that' did he? Give over.

Ordinarily that's true; however, TUPE rules are slightly different in the case where the outgoing employer is insolvent, which I believe is the case here. Terms and conditions of employment *can* be varied during transfer of undertakings (with the agreement of trade union or employee reps) provided the variations are designed to save the business.
If there is any truth to the rumour of some players opting out of the TUPE, they would sacrifice the majority of their rights and entitlements as part of the process, but it could have the result of making them effectively free agents, which would explain the Carvell situation.

I have no reason to think otherwise so I guess the answer is yes I am that naive.

OK bulls arent or werent at the time insolvent, thay had merely appointed administrastors.
AFAIK you have to be made insolvent through the courts, which they havent been.
