George Rose is great impact player playing in 20 minute spells per half per game. The big difference between Rose and Hickey, is Rose plays regularly and while looking quite portly I would say his fitness levels are far superior to Jarrad 'All You Can Eat' Hickey.

I know it was a joke, reffering to him being a tad tubby. Some can carry it off and some cant. Dunno whether were looking to oz for a replacement but there seems a few more available than half backs

I never signed we should sign him, I said in my original post that we should try to sign somebody [size=200like[/size George Rose. So it isn't a pointless argument when using an example as a comparison.

Can I float the possibility of getting rid of 'Korki' as well, as he's also not any good, and get in two new 'impact' props? By the way, I never knew 'impact' meant wriggling around on the floor when tackled. I know he 'loves' the club, but so do I, and I ain't getting a game.

Korki has been a great servant to the club, but i think if we are to improve a replacement (or 2) must be found for MK. I think we should only retain Korki if there are absolutely no other options.

We need a halfback and we should look to sign someone like Jonathan Thurston then.

There's where I think a lot of people's opinions differ. Let's be completely honest he was quick to jump ship when he thought we were gone in 2006, whether his agent had something to do with that or not, if had he been such a great servant and loves the club so much surely he would have waited to see the outcome, other players did. He had opportunities after Salford to come back but followed the money. Lastly, let's not forget he is only been with us for the last couple of seasons because Huddersfield didn't feel the need to keep him. Apart from his first stint at the club he has never been our player, so to say Michael Korkidas has been a great servant is not quite accurate.

It was a pointless argument because George Rose is a freak in that he carries his weight so well on the field. There isn't another player like George Rose. All other players of that size are pretty much Hickey-esque or a ten minute a time luxury like Solomana. Or not particularly good like Higgins or Paleaaesina.

How do you work that one out then, as you were one of quite a number of fans that could not get rid of him fast enough

Given that we did all the hard work and saw no benefit, I hope you're right.

He's not our first waste of money and won't be the last , always risky bringing players in that we know little about. Especially greedy Aussies that see easy money for a couple of years.

Some quality pundits like TRB or Clan can't remember suggested he was a lot fitter and they may be right. However I saw no difference in the player from game one to game ten.

For me he could now look like an Adonis it would make no difference to me, it's his lack of heart that really marks him out.

Lets be right here ten games should be enough for any player to find some form and fitness even if they don't reach Test standard.

Oh he was definitely fitter - clearly so, but that isn't enough to make him into a decent footballer.

Maybe the club have got it wrong, maybe he'll be fantastic next year - but I don't see it and I am 100% convinced that we can do better both with the money and the quota spot - and that is what matters!
