FYI the lad involved looks to be fine and has recovered the feeling in his legs.

as for our lad he came home and has his leg in a splint and awaits to see what damage has been done to the muscle and ligaments

Stanley Rangers U14s are at home this sunday morning after they bruising encounter against Parkside to Normanton Knights who had an impressive 50 -16 win against the Castleford Panthers.

cas panthers travelled to garforth tigers for their qf cas and district cup game and had a comfortable win with the game finishing 0-46 in a game played typhoon like conditions.

just 1 more game to fit in for cas high on thursday before the majority of the side will play their 4th game in 7 days when we go to lock lane on saturday.

I was stood on the touchline nearest the tea stall. Good handling in windy conditions. What was the garforth coach doing thought his head was going to pop off ala scanners. He aimed quite a few verbals at the ref who wasn't that bad. And them joggers he wore looked somewhat amusing.

To be honest Garforth was really poor and i even saw some of their lads jump out of the way of the lad with longish hair a few times. So i bet you were glad it was like a training run out for you. But that is taking nothing away from your players as they ran onto to ball fast and hard with one lad handing off about 7 times in one drive.Good effort.

That's ridiculous - and folk wonder why their knees are knackered when they're older !

yeah it wasnt a great game but thats what you get in cup games when the two teams are lightyears appart in terms of what they are used to playing,rugby wise we wernt at our best because the players knew they could make easy yards but to nil a team is a good effort at any level.

you know me ernie i love my rugby but even im getting a little tired this week and im not doing owt,how the kids are feeling i dont know but at least they get sunday off



its certainly opened my eyes up to the ammount of work they do at cas high school to make sure they can compete at rugby they leave no stone un-turned and the players are well treated regards the time they are given to prepare for games.

My younger brother plays in his team and he is fine. He has recovered all feeling in his body, and walked away with just a badly sprained neck. Thanks for your concerns!
