Look it was obvious to all on here who had a slight knowledge of the game we were in deep trouble before a ball was kicked this season. Sheer arrogance from our directors to think the squad and the coach would keep us in SL. Ok Matt Ellis has come along and put in some cash which has allowed us to scratch around and sign a few players. This has given us a few wins and papered over the cracks. However the damage was done in the first half of the season, losing all those games and giving ourselves too much to do. We set of this season with an absolute rubbish squad and that is why we are heading for the Championsip.

How many games were there to go when we brought John Kear in to save us,just asking, can't have been that many.

Applegarth should have been sacked a long time ago. They ain’t getting shut of him now thats for sure.

Well if Matt Ellis decides he has had enough of Minards blocking tactics and decides to walk, from the financial figures that I am hearing, there may not be a club to support next season if we have no super League funding .

We need at least three wins out of our last 5 games. It's that simple. Do I think this squad has it in them if the best they can turn out against Hudds, Hull and Cas at home is that? No. I can take losing but getting two hammerings and a comfortable defeat against your rivals on your own patch who have barely won a game in the last ten is all you can offer then, you're doomed.

Next week will tell us a lot against a Salford team we thumped not long ago and only lost in golden point against at their place earlier this season. It’s one we need to target if we are to have any chance of staying up. Annoyingly they got some for back tonight so it won’t be easy but it has to be done.

The team tonight were pretty bad and yes your description is quite accurate .

It's one stand more than Cas have done, and more like two if you include the now home end behind the sticks.

Not often you're the side I want to stay up, but was hoping for a Wakey win tonight. Cas have an awful run in so hoping you can still "pull a Wakey"

We might as well let the incumbents and their rapidly appointed coach finish on field what they started. I think he was appointed because he was willing to take on the worst squad in SL. If this was not the case why keep him after 14 defeats on the trot many without troubling the scoreboard.
The new sponsor tried to assist in our survival by providing finances to bring in players and pay off those we no longer wanted. It worked for a while but we always had the ominous performances away from home. The help arrived too late we may win one more game at best. I would suggest we enjoy what games we have left in SL and hope for better things in the Championship. It’s an opportunity lost to fight our case under the new regime whilst being in SL but I guess it will be the on field legacy our current incumbents expected.
Our coach believes it is not over which on paper it isn’t but on grass it clearly is. I would suggest he enjoys what’s left of his SL experience because I very much doubt he will be back next season, well not at Wakefield.

I refrained from posting after the game last night, but we aren't out of it yet.
We have just made the task a lot harder but it's still possible.
If we go down, we will probably get what we deserve though.
