The other Wakefield businessman couldn't be Rodders with Ted and Eric waiting in the wings.....Could it?
Forgetting as yet that there is no planning or finance in place yet, how about this for a nightmare scenario? Manni and Walker team up, Belle vue gets a make over. The "Walker" trust (including Ted and Eric) are handed the reigns to the day to day running of the ground, Trinity are anchor tenants paying a business rent to Walkers trust, Trinity only get certain sections of finance, namely match day revenue? "Walkers trust" and their partner Manni then receive all the extra revenue, non match day income etc. Trinity refuse to be blackmailed in this fashion, MC & CB refuse and we leave for Dewsbury, Walkers trust, Manni, Peter Box can make all sorts of sounds in the press. "We tried, it's not our fault, Trinity are the wrong uns here".
IMO. One of two things then happens.
1.The Walker trust try a charm offensive, slag off CB and MC in the hopes that public opinion in the shape of Trinty fans and the public themselves warm to their plans and turn on the club etc, MC & CB walk away from Trinity, and Rodders trust take the reigns.
2. The Walker trust feel the jobs a good un, Trinity walk away from BV, Manni gets to build whatever Manni builds, Yorkcourt lay a couple of 4G community pitches at Newmarket, everyone's happy........Aren't they?

| Will someone please explain why certain local business people (not MC) seem to want to have control in some form over Wakefield Trinity? As far as investment schemes go, I'm sure the club isn't one any financial adviser would push a client towards on the basis of the terraces are lined with gold. You would think anyone with past involvement would be happy with a spot on the terraces and a bit of financial security.

Hussain and his business partner have no interest in Trinity whatsoever, in fact they see it as an hinderance in their plans. They have bought a plot of land in agbrigg at a cheap price and their aim is to develop that, they have no intention of building a stadium at all. They will offer no more help financial or otherwise than Yorkcourt have. Don't kid yourselves these guys have no intention of helping the club, they only see it as a means to line their pocket with the help of a gullable local authority.

As I see it if things don't happen soon it will be the end of the club never mind moving to Dewsbury which would only delay the end of the club. I've heard Judicial Review will happen if nothing's sorted soon whether that's true or not I don't know.
If new stadium happens and agreeable terms can't be agreed,I can see your option 1 happening hence the new trust apparently set up. We will have to see what happens.

In a word..no. Dewsbury is akin to Wembley compared to Ossett Town.

| In the here and now, no Ossett Town would not be suitable.
However, both Ossett football clubs have now merged, and they plan to go professional.
Should this happen, despite work being done on one site to upgrade It, should they go pro, and go up through the divisions, down the line somewhere, they will probably need a larger stadium. Long term, it could weĺl have been an option, as I feel if the council are dragging the heels for one stadium this side of the common, then they certainly would for two.

Give over, it's a tidy little ground, no where near SL standard I'd have thought.

| Better parking, better standing area, full 4 G training pitch, not in an area frequented by car scratching scouts, bigger and better corporate facilities, better seating, better standing area, more cover, better floodlights, bigger better changing rooms, more toilets, modern, better sound system, better first aid station, easier access, modern entrance gates. other than that I just can not think of a reason why Dewsbury is a better ground. Oh yes its not in Wakefield , not owned by a landlord who doesn't give a toss about the rugby club and finally is not in WMDC area

| The floodlights would need improving, SL or the RL inspected Dewsbury's floodlights two years since and they weren't up to scratch.

| Dewsbury would be ok for size because not half of the 'crowd' we get now would go! I would short term but long term I'd be done.
I won't support Dewsbury Trinity.

I dont doubt it. I'm not expecting anything to happen at Belle Vue with regards to Wakefield Trinity. I'd say we are more likely to get a Costa and a KFC.
