They are more down the middle than Saints teams of old, i'd argue we might be more like the old Saints than this Saints team is.

And this is where my frustration lies. The likes of Amor and walmsley only see the ball on the third/ fourth tackle. The quality of our set is dependant on swift makinson and lomax who will more often then not be the first second and third runners. They all seem to have the wonderful knack of beating the first man, getting down and playing the ball quickly, so by the time Amor and walmsley enter the set, defence is at 6s and 7s already. To stop Amor/ walmsley at that point would just see us ship the ball wide again (even in our own half) where there will be an overlap due to numbering up on our big guys). See the Amor try against Salford and you'll see this.

To beat saints, you need an impeccable kicking game (something we've not really faced yet) kick chase from every single member of the team (makinson and swift like to probe for weakness' throughout the match - see makinsons try against Catalans) and catch us sleeping, as we have already been caught several times this season.

Like people are saying no one expects us to win so just play are own game and see we're that takes us.

Obviously we have to have a core idea of how our players can play together, but different teams require different tactics to be dealt with effectively.

It will be an interesting battle of the forwards, thought we were gona be weakened after amore n poore left but I've been proved wrong on that.

I think we're coming along very nicely indeed, let them worry about us. Too many times in the past we've given too much respect to a top team and ended up getting tonked. I'd like us just to carry on as we are doing making progress as a team, building confidence and playing to our strengths. We have a pretty good record against St Helens so I don't see any reason why we can't beat them, we can beat anyone and I'm sure Mr Agar will be instilling that into the players this week.

To be honest we do the same thing. Our back three make a lot of ground from deep kicks.
The props take that forward from there I agree.

Hope all the Saints players make a speedy recovery but glad they aren't playing this week.

Biggest thing we should is ball retention and stop giving away penalties

Don't know what the penalty count was (for both sides) on Saturday, but it was very low

I know players who played with each other have a bit of fun in the tackle when playing against eachother I hope we don't give any stupid penalties away in doing so. I remember Raleigh tackling Eorl a few times and giving away penalties.
