A bit of all 3 apparently. The grass was not quite as green and as TRB said we went and got the best man for our requirments. I just hope he has taken a pay cut from the rumoured salary he left for!

No home game now until Bradford at home on the 14th April, that's nearly a month to do all we can to sell this game to the Wakey public...Anything less than 8,000 - 10,000 will be a huge failure IMO.

chapster..unfortunately i was of the same opinion but when i learnt the true facts i had to apologise..the dance/communities dept do a great job and bring in a lot of money to the club..also there are a lot of politics within super leaue and for jimmy elston to be back here will tick one of the boxes required..why did hkr want him so badly ?

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that the actual game is not bringing in the public of Wakefield.

I'm only interested in the rugby aswell, but we have to look at the bigger picture.

We need to do everything we can to increase attendances. That to me (other than the new stadium) is number one priority. Bigger attendances = more money...more money = better chance of growing as a club and achieving success.

So sorry for slipping with the date aswell, maybe it's because that date is etched in my memory as it's the date my mum died. So sorry for the slip...we have no home game until [size=20014th May[/size

Can't be doing with this postive news, goes against the grain for me.

Expect club wakey to be rushed out with about two weeks notice at the end of the season

I'm fairly ambivalent toward the pre match and half time entertainment, but then again I don't think it's aimed at the likes of me or most others who use this forum. The club have 'got' us we've all been watching for ten, twenty, thirty or forty years (or more) and will probably all keep going till the day they carry us out (unless we merge, but that's another argument).

We aint going to last for ever and will all need, sooner or later (hopefully later), replacing and the fact is the ones who are going to replace us are the generation who want the total entertainment package. If and when we have that then we will pack them in and be able to charge twenty quid or more.

When I was a kid we got a game and very occasionally a Brass band at half time. Times change and Wakefield Trinity will have to change with them. If we can get them now they'll follow us to the Promised Land at Newmarket, if not it will be very hard to tempt them through the doors at Newmarket.

At the end of the day, like you it's the game I go for, but we will eventually become part of a dwindling minority who 'only' want to see the actual 80 mins of play.

Dont agree with the total entertainment package stuff at all, what gets people through the gates is success in sport, and then the half time jugglers are a complete waste of time, as they always were and always wil be,

you go to see the main even be intresting/exciting/ and hopefully sucessful because we are an entertainment industry, and the RL is the main act.

heres an idea keep all the money we are spending on half time and xfactor tools in next few years and give it to danny brough, oh too late never mind.
