he looks to have bulked up a bit. imo he looked about a stone and a half heavier than he did last season... that could be a reason for him not being as quick....plus he is out of match fitness.

All in all tho, with a bit of sprint training i think he will be back upto speed - pardon the pub.

Im not over worried, he still looks decent enough and is a young lad - he can only get better !

Agreed, would like to see him have a good run in the first team now, if you look at his score ratio you won't find many better in the league, granted he has only played a few times each season due to age and injury but when he has he usually scores one or two.

sorry, don't rate him. seems to have a lack of effort and to be a bit plastic. seemed to put very little effort into challenging for the high ball yesterday and when they broke to score their first try, korkidas actually put more effort in and out paced him on the chase back. think it is time to let him go and bring some of the excellent youth through that we have got waiting.

Another one on the way out, someone must have dropped a bad one in the changing rooms.

i have heard that there will pretty much be a clear out this summer, i realise we have a few players out of contract but they are not the only ones to be going....... As far as George going goes it would not be a great loss in my opinion

I thought George did OK. Ran the ball out a fair few times and made his tries look a formality. Perhaps if he'd knocked on with the line begging, tried to cut inside or just been too far behind play we'd all be thinking how unlucky he was?

What he needs to do to get affection from the crowd is leave.

Try having an anterior cruciate reconstruction and returning to the exact same speed and acceleration you had before....not going to happen.

I've sometimes been a bit critical of him but the one thing that he is showing now he is starting to get his fitness back is that he can score tries.
Some wingers look great in full flight, some don't......but the ones you want are the ones that ALWAYS catches the ball, and ALWAYS takes his chances, whether 2 feet from the line or 90!

He does that. I like that in him.

I think this is true of Aaron Murphy too.

no where near fox's league. i wouldn't sign him. nothing against the lad, seems a bit plastic. for the size of him doesn't seem to do so well taking the high balls. wasn't impressed against celtic. seemed lazy and lacking in pace. think morton and murphy are a far better bet and with others that may be coming and what we have got coming through, i would let him go.

You are probably correct although IMHO George is the most naturally gifted.

It's the typical of Trinity fans on here whenever a player is released. Whilst at the club they barely register, the minute they leave they become legends and a means to beat the club up for letting "another one go". It's a bit odd IMHO.

Whatever his negatives, George seems to be bagging tries pretty much every game he plays in, this seemed true before his injuries too.

Also have to remember he has not had a good run in the side yet.

He will get even better IMO. Before his big injury he was our leading try scorer and from memory the leagues highest try scorer att that early stage.

Lots of potential in him and would not like to see it develop at another club.

Would like to see him stay but once again it depends on how much a player who is still young and has only been available for about 10/20% of games in the last 2 years would want?
