What an awful newspaper that doesn't even report properly on their RL club.

When you want to promote your club which will promote the city and make life more enjoyable for the citizens surely the city's own paper should not try to ruin this direction Andrew Glover is trying to move us in? well this is exactly what the WE has done, I don't want that negativity in my city

No where near good enough from Mr Bradley - and another in a long line of actions by the paper against the club!

Not bought the Express today and will not again until it is more supportive of Wakefield Trinity and the City of Wakefield.

The story was old news and it seems to me that it was deliberatly printed in order to put a damper on the good news we have had recently. Looks like the Express has a vendetta against the Club and we should all stop buying the paper and encourage others to do so. If advertisers supportive of the Club also boycott the paper and they are hit in the pocket we may see a change of direction.

The editor must think we are stupid if he expects us to believe anything other than the fact that he knew that the shocking image on the front of his paper would sell copy. To spin it as an act of public service and journalisic integrity stinks. They are exploiting the trinity name and the poor womans suffering for their own profit.

All this and its simply an allegation with insufficient evidence to satisfy the police that it is proportionate to bring a charge.

Ban them from the ground!

Even worse - aspirant red top journalism, executed without any of the guile or skill that the best journalists employ, even when producing trashy stories.

Shame on the editor, for allowing an anti-Wakefield culture to develop at a Wakefield paper.

Let's not get hoodwinked by the WE or their current editor, this is not about some moral crusade to secure justice for the young girl who's been assaulted nor is it about offering fair and balanced reporting of positive and negative news. This is about splashing sensationalist news with emotive headlines and shocking images on the front page in an attempt to sell as many papers off the back of it as they can.

They've done so without a single thought of the potential damage done to Wakefield Trinity in a week when they could have done a great deal to repair some of the damage they've done to their relationship with the club.

They've possibly prejudiced the case against the player but they have certainly made his position at the club almost untenable.
If proven guilty he'll get what he deserves and should suffer the full gambit of consequences for his actions there's no doubt about that.

This latest attempt by the editor to justify what they've printed is a little bit sickening IMO! He's got it wrong on all counts this week and in doing so he's revealed his true colours!

This particular headline is the latest news story in a long list of stories that seem to be anti-Wakefield Trinity. Many people have questioned the WE and their anti WT stance for a number of years and this story removes any doubt about their position on where they pitch their level of support or lack of it for the club!

Set in that context it's clear that someone at the helm of the WE is either anti WT or anti RL at their core, the anti stance seems to have coincided with a lean toward Leeds Utd which suggests I'm right on this. This also seems to have happened at the same time that the WE has largely been moved out of the City, I would not be surprised to find out that these decisions are being made by people with zero affinity to the City of Wakefield.

Whatever the reasons this (cough) newspaper no longer reflects the mood of the city and merely runs stories that seem to come from the 'idiots Guide to publishing local news stories'.

I hav'nt bought this paper now for a few years but do read it at my mothers house so my not buying it is no loss them but I suspect there will be a sharp fall in revenue across the board and that might force a change of positioning and personell.

In a week when they should have been looking for a 1-2-1 interview with Mr Glover, a big feature on the monumental display v Catalans, the £10 offer for Sunday, and the dreams and vision of exiting administration, there are many things that they could have done, but no. Poor showing I'm afraid. Any local radio stations fancy exclusives from now instead?

I have always wondered why a so called local newspaper 'Wakefield Express' puts so much coverage into LEEDS UTD football and less into the most successful professional team in Wakefield?

Never again will I buy this drivel until somethings changed, the editors response on FB is a load of tripe, I encourage anyone who uses the site or newspaper to advertise their business in there to cancel and make sure you let them know and also encourage friends and family to do the same, if this is the way that rag treats us fir giving them every exclusive at the club then just stop giving them news and ban their hacks from the ground and give them nothing.

I sometimes struggle to get the express where I live, however now I won't even bother looking for it.
