Agreed. If Ben is injured fair enough but to leave him out because King is back to fitness is very harsh. Ben has been great in the past few weeks.......

Might be a bit too much to expect Gledhill to play against Cas and Wigan in the space of four days having just had a tough one against wire, right decision IMO, let's not kill him before his career has got going.

Fair enough. Rest will do the young man good - although if not involved Friday he will be almost certain to figure on Monday.

Makes sense to bring King back for this game rather than against Wigan as he`s probably not ready for 2 games in 3 days, pretty sure Gledhill will replace him on Monday, providing the other props don`t pick up injuries on Friday,
but with our luck this season.................?

With 2 games in 4 days...i thought we might have seen the possibility of maybe Trout, Southernwood (if still with us) and Annekin, maybe added to the squad??

Got to agree with this, with Hendo/Kirmond coming on for Latu, moving Cooke to 6/7, Obst to 9 and Morrison to 13. Wouldn't be a bad option tbf.

he plays monday, two games in a couple of days and players rested, rotated.

That was my first thought for the team for Friday, but then thought about all those changes of position, then thought about that performance last week and the fact that no one knew what the feck anyone else was doing and thought better of it. We need some consistency in the organisation of the team and if Cooke/BJ is our future H/B pairing then we should keep them together and let the team get an understanding of who does what rather than changing about four positions half way through a game.

Ben is fine and maybe it'll do the lad good to be rested but to say ben is fine with this is a load of tosh!!!! Knowing ben as i do he would give anything to play friday and saying that he'd love to play every game. He gives 110% every game and has the determination and willingness to want to be involved in everything.
Maybe he understands but i certainley dont ben has played out of his skin over the weeks and there are certain other players i'd be happier seen dropped and certainley not dropped for that useless bag of e king!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe ben is better rested so completely fit against wigan and maybe jk sees him as being more benefit to the team on monday when it will be a far tougher game against wigan than against cas ! but then again you must be a far better super league coach than jk wouldn't you ?

Gledhill is unlucky to find himself out of the side but it’s a short turn around and arguably Trinity are likely to face the hardest game of the season on Monday. I would imagine the majority of the squad will be used over the Easter period, particularly in the forwards.

Sometimes it’s not good being so close to the players, something as simple as a player being rested can cause great resentment amongst people who know them well. It makes it hard for them to look upon things objectively.

There is a big difference between wanting to play every match, as I am sure Ben does, and listening to a very sensible coach who has the lads best interests and welfare at heart whilst heeding what JK has to say. At 20 years old and three games into superleague I am sure he would rather play against Wigan than Cas even though its his old club. He was never going to play in both games. Perhaps JK even though Ben's head may rule his heart and get a bit carried away against the old team mates. I am sure JK will get a better overall performance from him on Monday.

To be honest, I would actually have JD playing hooker, move Cooke to 13 and leave Obst at scrum half for whole game. It's too hard to do the kicking from hooker. I'd play BJ if he is fit.
I think I'd drop either Fergi or Henderson to keep them fresh for Monday so we have a worker.

Got to go for the 2 at home vs local rivals, damage limitation at Pie Eaters then clear Quins in cup. 6 from 9 & 5th round CC a good return on early season efforts. JD & Gleeson to miss out vs Cas IMO.

Tronc wont leave until after the easter period at the very earliest.
