We need a FB no question but, Hall was one of the few bright spots of last season and we've now allowed a very good young prospect to slip through our fingers.
KR will be rubbing their hands will Glee.

I despair on this one I really do.

Fantastic player dagger just never been able to get a real run at playing regularly with quinlan and then Coote as our first choice

Surely we should be looking at potential signings and saying will it improve the team ? Apart from the fact we need a full back what’s the point in dagger other than he has plenty of championship experience

Wonder if I can get a ST refund under mis-selling rules. Really not sure if I'll bother going again.

I challenge anybody to defend this, yes we need a full back but to let our best young player go is just plain stupid. This has to go down as one of the worst transfer dealings in our history. Carter, Minnards, Applegarth, whoever has agreed to/signed off on this should hang their heads in shame.

Trinity season 2023 can it get worse, do they not realise we need extra players not to lose one of our most promising.

Sad thing already got flights to Catalan , am thinking about going and spending the weekend in Toulouse and avoiding the thrashing

The season seems to be crumbling before our very eyes. Wonder if Hall is a bit miffed about being shunted about/dropped early on and wants out.

I had to walk away after the initial post as i didn't want to swear. Hall is a quality young player and last season showed he had what it takes and with plenty more development to come. Even this year of us not being able to score for toffee he's our top try scorer with 2 in 4 games. And we are swapping him for Will Dagger?? Not nothing against him and i wish him well but he is the epitome of average and actually quite injury prone. No transfer fee either going by the article, a straight swap. Wow. Just wow.

It can't be a straight swap surely. We paid Leeds a fee to get him back only a year ago and he is contracted till the end of 2024.

It depends how we look at things.

Got to take this on a short term and long term basis.

Long term…madness.

Short term it probably makes sense.

We have Langi and Lynn, as well as Gaskill able to play Centre.

We have 1 full back and are desperate for another. Dagger is also a bit of a utility.

I’d like to think we can look long term…but in the situation in which we find ourselves we have to try to do something to assist with the fullback position.

It’s a move that smacks of desperation, but unfortunately that is the position in which we find ourselves we have to do anything to look after the now the 2023 season we cannot realistically look longer term than that.

Very depressing the whole thing though.

Cant help but think that this looks like a panic decision.

As much as I disagree with this move. the logic is we are covered at centre better than FB. Lyne, Gaskell won't be of interest to HKR but Hall clearly would be. We don't have a great hand so are liable to get bent over.

Take some shorts and hope to get a tan, the rugby wont be worth going to.

Just when you think things cant get any worse, we do this.

Of last seasons players, only Hall and Murphy were consistent throughout the season and we've given the lad to KR


After Kay went well v Salford, why the chuff didn't we leave him at FB.
