Crowther is not a hooker, nowhere near fast enough and I'm probably doing the kid a favour saying he should be nowhere near the hooking role.

Don't even bother looking for a 9 next season.

He made a couple of goods runs, but his distribution is woeful and he's an easy target in defence. We need to invest in another 9 just as much as we need props.

Sorry but I just don't see it. Too many times the first receiver has to jump or crouch for the ball. He makes a couple of good runs from dummy half and everything else is forgotten. Seriously, I'm sure some fans think he's the next Cameron Smith. It's a toss up between him and Crowther, and Crowther isn't a hooker either. Even Toulouse have got four better hookers than Kay. If we go with the same again then we're asking for trouble.

No they don't. Just because we believe he's a good option doesn't mean we see him as an international. That's you justifying yourself.

Kay offers a great foil to Hood who is an old style hooker, he injects pace and guile into a game when the opposition are tiring. I don't think he has ever been used from the start but always from the bench.

I see him doing the last ten in every first half and the last 20 in the second depending on how the game is going.

Toulouse do not have four better hookers than Kay, get that's utter nonsense, sorry but it is.

We 100% need a new 9, no question. No offence to Hood as he gives 100% but he's not got the running game the modern game needs from a hooker. It's probably the most important position on the pitch from an attacking perspective, whether that's a running game or distribution. If that first pass is slightly behind, above, in front of Miller / Lino the whole move falls apart. I know Crowther isn't a natural 9 so I'm not blaming him but our distribution / passing yesterday when attacking the Hull line was woeful for a professional SL side.

No PT that's total self awareness. You've never got Vastman have you. I the author knows exactly what Vastman is and why he does what he does, he's a construct or a character, you chose, not a real person. It's the oldest trick in the book, most newspapers have these creations, Black Dog in the Mail as an example, though clearly I'm not suggesting old Vasty is that exulted.
