When I saw yesterday that the 3 players had picked up bans following last Friday's match, I too was scratching my head to try and remember any incidents that warranted any sanctions (let alone a ban) from the disciplinary committee.
It is bad enough for us with our threadbare squad at this moment in time but you really have to feel for Matautia who will now miss a likely once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play against his brother in the Cup Final on Saturday !!
It just beggars belief that in the current climate, the muppets at RL HQ can adopt such a myopic approach to the game with little or no thought to the potential consequences of such actions.....UNBELIEVABLE

Well said Mr Carter though it was a great game best team won ,but was proud of the way we played never took a backward step.Was shocked when I found out it was Hampshire and Arundel that had been band ..They are the last two players you would think would get a ban for dangerous play . If it had been that bad the ref would have had a word,or put on report .disgusting decisions Got to feel a bit for the St player ,To play against your brother at in the C C C is some thing special

Yeah, agreed with all points, just to add, there is a levelling up process carried out, ie, Salford now have a better chance of winning this next match against us !!! Salford should have lost that match to us as per precedent of other clubs !!
Just get it we cannot raise enough players we will loose the match & get fined !!!

I agree with carter 100% on this one, I’ve seen the video of Ryan’s and it’s the most bizarre ban I’ve ever seen, it’s a little push in back not even late. It’s obvious the people running our game are so out of touch with the clubs and are sickening many fans off to the point where they are turning away from it in droves. The pro game is a mess, open age a mess the junior game a mess, breaks all over the place. Fixtures a mess, it’s a complete shambles and no one will do anything about it

The game is gone and no amount of defending the RFL is going to change that. It started snowballing when they gave away the sponsorship for free with Stobart.

A few weeks ago Liam Watts got a 2 game ban for a late challenge. It wasn't a high shot or a shoulder charge so he appealed. He got an additional 1 match suspension because the panel considered his appeal "frivolus".

Are you saying you think a one game ban for the respective incidents were valid?

It really isn't.
Some fans however seem to get cheap thrills out of death riding the game - it's a bit odd frankly.
