Good kid is Wagga, had a good chat with him before the game, worked with his dad for years. Keep meaning to watch it but I’m afraid to say I haven’t seen it yet. When is it on.

Love Wagga when Cas beat Leeds at Headingly in 2017 despite working for AM he was leading the mental celebrations for the Cas victory a little bit too exuberantly and security evicted him from the ground.
We need people like that to emphasise the fun side of rugby league.

| Well I’ll have to beg to differ, I can’t stand him he’s an utter clown but not in a good way, he makes me cringe. In the flesh he may be ok but on the TV he comes across as if he’s had one head injury to many. Sorry but drags the game down imho.

6pm on freesports.
Wagga was supposed to be playing in the PDRL game scheduled v Warrington up at Crigg but game got called off, they wanted to do a piece on all the dissability rugby (PD & LD) and get behind it ala Adam hills. Clown or not He seemed to love playing tag with the LD teams

| Its the sort of program i can not imagine an outsider watching , so no real problem with it. I enjoyed the last time big dave was a guest and he provided a few laughs.

| Is a bit amateur sometimes but can't imagine they have a massive budget. Wagga does come off a bit of a tit sometimes but is generally a pretty funny character, would rather have him than some of the other boring pundits that do their own shows tbh.

| Hes not my cup of tea but he's always up for a laugh and not shy about doing fun things. He was funny a couple of year ago in the con club doing the beer challenge and stuff like that, got everyone singing and having the craic.
Sure rugby AM has got low production value but I like it, always good to see interviews and get stories from the players etc.

The show doesn’t bother me, he does. I’m actually concerned for his mental state and live in hope that it’s just an act. I think what grinds me most is that he reminds me of those berry local club clowns so beloved of the Union game but minus the posh/yokel accent.
If he just toned it down a little, say 99% he’d be ok. Even 50% would be a start. Again sorry.0

He definitely acts up to the camera but he is a stand up guy, as nice as they come , just a generally very approachable friendly lad.
I've interviewed him on the radio before and he's so sound and has a story for every minute of the hour available and more.
I do think he fits the class clown role well.
That said, I don't watch the show and i can understand why the class clown role puts people off him. But you can't please everyone!

It’s your opinion FC and entitled to it, but like I said I’ve known him and his family for some years now and have the highest regards for them, played with and against him at social level and always made one in even when in SL, cracking kid. I know it’s all for show just like any other tv person just he’ll be on a lot less whilst trying to make a living after playing the hardest field sport.

What I don’t understand is why your moderating a forum who’s intent is to allow people to express there opinion yet you clearly don’t get it. So let’s get this right, according to the law of pot tart somebody who puts themselves forward in the world of media cannot be criticised or commented upon.
I’d like to say it’s unreal but where your concerned it isn’t.
So for future reference please let us mere mortals know what we can and can’t bitch about. Save you the bother in the future.

What I suspect is needed is a professional director who will help him tone it down a bit, maybe Kris Kamara level.
As a player and a person I’ve no doubt he’s a good lad that’s not my issue.
On the plus side he’s plenty of time to learn his trade as he’s young. I remember I couldn’t abide Graham Norton when he first started, too camp and way to smutty. Now I think he’s the best interviewer in the business. Not suggesting Wagga will reach those heights but if he’s willing to learn he may well have a career.
Despite PTs ludicrous huff I actually wish anyone willing to put their neck on the line all the best but criticism is part of the deal. Strikes me that he’s got a thick enough skin to ignore anything I have to say.

I like how you think you are the same as everyone else. Bless.
So to be clear. I comment on the forum same as you.
I moderate when someone does something against AUP.
I still don't understand why people bother to be negative about something that doesn't affect them. They are free to do it. Just don't understand it.

| Watched the repeat this morning and found it quite entertaining and interesting to hear both DF and Adrian Morley's views in general. Never a fan of JJB as a player but he comes across as quite an amicable guy when chatting generally. I doubt very much whether I would have found Wagga quite as " entertaining" if he'd been cavorting around at any other ground than BV.

| Personally I like Rugby Am and get what they're trying to do albeit on a smaller budget - it's infinitely better than Inside Super League which is utter pants...and that's with Sky backing them
It's not gonna match up to the Footy Show, which is a great loss to our screens after Sky outbid Premiere for the NRL rights (as is Matty Johns show etc) but it has come a long way in the last 3-4 years and they're getting great guests on - I'm hoping they manage to get JT on while he's over here as a follow up to Sterlo & slammin' Sam
I also thought Fifita & Moz went well last night and came out with some interesting/fun anecdotes - as for Wagga, you certainly can't knock his enthusiasm or his passion for the game
See it for what it is guys...an effort to bring a light hearted, informative, educational (e.g. the article they did about mental health last year) magazine show about the game we all love to our screens...even the Footy show started somewhere & Beau Ryan wasn't the finished article when he first got in front of the camera, as some of his cringe 'impressions' demonstrated
Keep up the good work guys...the only way is upicon_smile.gif

| One thing I strongly agree with DF and Moz Morley on Rugby League AM was the need to bring the "shoulder charge" back within the rules of the game. If the charge was carried out legally it brought an extra degree of excitement into the tackle as the lads said.
