RESERVES: Due to injuries across the first-team squad and Under 19’s, tomorrow’s reserve game against Hull FC has been cancelled.

This isn't Chester's way to rest players and target the Wigan home game surely?

Form wise Wigan at home would be more difficult to beat than KR away.

Perhaps this is Chester making sure that we have maximum options for the upcoming fixtures and that we cant have any sudden additional injury worries.
Having the full squad fit and focused on the job in hand seems like a sensible way forward

Yet we had 29 players training last week and no injuries mentioned after Sunday? Something doesn’t sound right there.

We did seem to have a lot of players on all fours after various collisions on Sunday. Kirmond (as usual), Wood (1st tackle he made), Lyne (tripped over his deep sea diving boots), Kopzack (arm injury), Escare (head shot victim), Tanganoa (big hit just before he lost ball leading to Hulls 1st try)

A lot of changes need to be made next year whether in SL or not to the back room staff. His is ridiculous.

What exactly is ridiculous? Are we including Tom Johnstone's injury?

The fact we apparently could barely field a 17 against Saints despite the team coming back off their jollies. And now maybe struggling to do the same against Hull KR.

Hard to feel any optimism for this one - HKR play some zippy, off the cuff stuff, and we're super vulnerable to that, due to our soft defence; not to mention that Danny Maguire, despite his advancing years, remains one of the most intelligent hb's in SL.

I sincerely hope that CC drops Broughy and goes with Escare, Miller and Rocky in the spine - so we've at least got a fighting chance by deploying some genuine pace.

Honestly, you've got more chance of winning the lottery every week for the rest of your life.

Playing Tanginoa at prop is a waste of a wide running threat, a bit like playing Arona at prop!

4 possibly 6 going over Sunday to cheer us on, but I’ll admit it’s with a heavy heart and it took some convincing the boss to throw a lot of money at an away game that I’m not confident in .These were the very games that we were given no chance of winning that we used to pull a shock win at ,so ever the optimist we go not expecting but hoping we pull it off and ease the pressure on us .

Bit unfair on Randel who I thought had a good game on Sunday, and leaves Wood doing 80, which IMO he is not good at. He needs to be coming on against a tiring team, like has worked so many times in the past.
I agree with the HB pairing but don't think Broughie will be dropped.
If he isn't then IMO it's high time BOTH Brough and Miller stepped up and came up with some new attacking ideas because we're a joke at the present time.

As for the defence , it was there for all to see on Sunday that whenever our winger got the ball there were three or four Hull players on him, bit like our defence on the flanks...haha

Thankfully i’ll miss this one as i’ll be on holiday so it saves a decision having to be made. But the way some are talking on here you’d think we were playing Melbourne Storm! Hull KR are below us for a reason, for large parts of the year they have been poor. Yes they have improved under Tony Smith and we have gone backwards under Chester but to say we have no chance is wrong, what we have to do is perform for once. If we do that then on paper we are every bit as good as them. Honestly i feel HKR may just nick it but i can’t see it being the battering some on here are predicting, there is too much tension on the game for that and the players will be up for this one. The key for us is to pick the correct side. That could be major sticking point to my prediction.

Unless either side manages a couple of quick early scores, this will be a real tense encounter.
Both sides know what is at stake and it's almost like a Million Pound Game eliminator, although KR can do themselves and us a huge favour by beating London at their place when they meet.

..….and we of course could do ourselves a huge favour by winning on Sunday.....

Catalans could do both trinity and hkr a big favour on Saturday. If London win their game, then lots of pressure on both teams in our game. Will Trinity handle the pressure better than hkr, I hope they can.
