With regard to Randal missing for 12 weeks & getting back match fit = say 15 weeks that's half the season !
If we are serious about pushing top 5 then we cannot just hang on by experimenting, we need a hooker to match Woody, quick creative & dynamic, this was needed all last season & prior to starting this season. I actually like Tyler but not as a hooker, he is too slow at passing & decision making/selection, to catch out opposing defenders.
I suppose we will stutter about rather than be decisive ???

In today’s interview on Trinity tv. CC says Batchelor has a knee problem, possibly an infection, also says it could be connected with the artificial pitch at London.
The reference to Batchelor is made on CC interview on radio Leeds this afternoon, and can be seen on the listen again page.

Do the London players suffer from a lot of these pitch related infections?

Chester says he's had to play injured with injections and it's now time for the Op.
Maybe that's why he hasn't always shown the Salford speed.

If Randall has been carrying the injury for a while, and needs surgery, why dos he not have the lo in close season?

He has been a bit disappointing for me generally, he's sort of nearly very good in all departments, but just has something missing..........

Arguably Randal is our best defender, he will be missed his defense around the ruck is top class, he hits hard.

Aye, then lays on or lifts the legs and gives 'em 50 easy metres.

Randal does the hard work as I see it when the opposing team are full of beans ,and yes he does give penalties away but not many get passed him either .
Perfect foil for woody who then comes on to exploit the tiring defence .worked great last season for us .
Injuries apart why change a winning combination .

With regard to Randal's innury, if as Chester says he had it most of last season & the injury surgery takes 8 - 12 weeks then the management is at fault, he should have had it the first week after the season ended ! These issues do not just go away especially playing a collision sport ! This to me is the sadness of the issue !

Maybe it was a case of rest before knife?

Talked to Batch at the gym this morning, it’s a decent egg on his knee, how longs a piece of string I think for his return.

I was chatting to him at half time when I was on the pitch, I asked him if it was a bandage as it looked that big

, he said no it was all swelling, but he felt he'd be ready for Catalans game on 21st

Was chating to Pauli Pauli in the bar after and he said he could have played today, but the coaches wanted to give him a bit longer so will be back for the Catalan game.
