If the mentality is right then I see no reason why not - however if there hearts aren't in it then they will get battered regardless of how big they are.

| Wood or Sio do not have the style of play or the guile of a 9 who can get the best out of our pack, very sadly Moore would have been great at exploiting our strengths, unfortunately Moore it seems is a complete and utter Knob. I think Finn has the best chance of getting our pack on the front foot.

Agreed (mainly). Finn will do ok with Wood coming on as an impact player. I don't agree about the guile bit for Wood, he is a smart player so don't get you there, his biggest problem is that at least to look at he seems a little frail and not very robust but I may be wrong. We can hope that Moules comes on leaps and bounds, does happen occasionally.
However whichever way you spin it Moore is a big loss.

| A hooking duo of Finn and Wood will work for me.
If Sio plays there then ok. It will be better for the days when big defense is needed but when we want to play, the other two are the option.
It should be monitored though how much of a battering Finn will take at hooker. He isn't Moore so can't be making big tackles in the middle. In some ways I think he and Sio should effectively switch roles in defense so that Sio can do the tough work.

| I think our pack is potentially the best for years, but agree someone has to have the guile to use the forwards. IF Moore won't be around (a lot of talk but NOT from the club, so will he won't he?) then I see Finn also as the key player. He's not fast, but he doesn't have to be for that role, other than that we will have to see how Wood goes. I don't see Sio in that role - haven't seen anything from him so far to suggest he has the skills for that role.

| England, Huby, Ashurst and Anakin are proven quality, very impressive players.
Allgood, never seen him play so looking forward to being impressed.
Crowther and Batchelor are very impressive young players with great attitude, great to watch.
Sio is an impressive defender who I think, if he gets a run of games at 13 will prove himself
Germond and Molloy are OK to back up if Crowther and Batchelor are unavailable
Fatfeeta is a very impressive impact player,
So all in all BJ04 quite a bit to be impressed with.
Jury is out on the Hookers, but blame for that is with the knob that is Moore

Just remind us which team it is that you support ??
We are still waiting for your first positive comment about Trinity and generally you are happy to criticise everything.
Although the no 9 spot is still a problem, the forwards that we have this season are as a group, probably the best we have had in the SL era and to say that we wont compete is just utterly ridiculous.
Who would you have liked us to sign and which teams are going to dominate us up front ?

Although you're taking the mick with that S/R AND YES THEY ARE GREAT YOUNGSTERS you've forgotten Arona who is way ahead of both of them and you've forgotten Hirst who is way ahead of Anakin who isn't proven SL quality at prop - I only wish he was.

I have a good feeling about Keegan Hirst as well, shouldn't take him long to settle with Kear here and been great for Batley.

| With the number of options at prop, I can see us going in to some games with one of them playing 13, like we did with Simon to give us maximum go forward.

I would have thought we'd go with something like Sio at 13 with Arona off the bench or vice versa.

Yes now Arona's being freed up to play there full time, he gives us as much go froward as Simon anyway imo. It also makes sense to go with these 2 at Loose, who are both mobile and good defensively. Not saying it couldn't happen especially if anyone got injured, but I'd be fairly surprised.

| My view is that we have all the ingredients to be successful, by our standards, and we can live with most in the comp. The key now is to try and blend it all in a manner that works for the players, the coaches and for us. As has been mentioned elsewhere, our biggest challenge is that we have had a soft underbelly in our mental strength. We remained strong until we scraped over the finish line, then it became all too easy to blame injuries etc on some dismal performances, when the truth was that we didn't have the will to fight on.
I know we had that wonderful afternoon against the Gooners, but that side, hampered by injuries also, went on to win the big prize as they refused to buckle in the face of adversity. I'm not saying we should have won the GF, but some of that attitude to succeed is what we need to aspire to within our group. If we can instill that, who knows what might be possible!

| No I hope he doesnt come our way.
I think we have enough props now anyway.
If we do have room on the cap available, I would now rather hang fire and see what happens with Moore and then if there is a decent hooker available at that point make a move.
I think Finn, Sio and Wood can do a job there but would like to think that this wouldnt be the long term solution.
