Certainly an interesting read, little of which would have come to light if it weren't for rumours i'm sure.
Right so everybody knows the score and it certainly looks reasonable to assume that the Leeds game and the EF sponsorship could have caused us a little difficulty as far as cash flow is conserned.
Time to look forward to the end of this season and see what we can achieve and then start building for next season.

Might even buy a season ticket.

The fact that they have shifted the date back to the end of the month is helpful. After payday and all that.

Bit of a risk expecting the HMRC to wait for cash whilst signing TT and employing Fozzard etc. can't say I'm suprised they didn't accept our proposed payment plan, plus allowing it to get to winding up stage again is not good for the clubs image

Could be the most important appointment the club has ever made and not before time. This has to be the last time we have an episode like this.

Fair play to AG for that and letting the fans who think they should have a right to know everything what is going on with the club and whats happening and going to happen with the club in the near future regarding HMRC. Now get off your backsides and get a season ticket paid for and stop moaning

Great interview and long overdue. Glover has been open and honest. Admitted that mistakes were made and is now getting the right people in for the job.

Running the club professionally requires professionals so it is good to hear that they are getting bean counters in.

For the first time I've also seen the figure lost through Eric France, previously I'd only heard a six figure sum. The amount lost is higher than I thought. Little wonder cash flow has been tight.

As an aside I renewed our season tickets this morning by phone. It happened to be before I saw this interview.

I feel better about it now and hope the club remain open and honest.

Maybe the club should run this interview every couple of months? This would help to clarify on rumours and gives the transparency we crave.

Some good information in there - very forthright. I hadn't realised the extent to which the France affair had impacted on the club - a deficit of 300k would be enough to cripple any business.

The academy stuff is what I alluded to last week having spoken to the scholarship coaches - looks like Mark Winder has been a busy bee! That scheme has huge potential for the club, so I hope it comes together.

That’s all what was needed, an explanation with facts rather than letting rumour and conjecture reign. I’m sure most people could understand the cash flow issues with a £300K hole in the years budget, although it’s not good having another WO attached to the club (particularly if the 12 SL clubs from 2015 onwards are to be selected by the RFL rather than league position).

We're all adults and most are reasonable. We can understand issues when the facts are made public. The new appointments are welcome and perhaps should’ve been installed pretty much from the off but I guess Andrew Glover will just put it down to experience.

As an aside the JE interviewer suggested that HKR offered £5K for Cockayne, obviously trying it on with the all the rumours surrounding the club last week.

Do you not think that being transparent with your supporters about the financial situation helps? Had questions not being asked we may never have been made aware of what we are now. It certainly helps explain the clubs cashflow problems and gives comfort that moving forward the right experience has been brought in.

Whilst IMO, the HMRC thing should have been (and possibly could have been) avoided, I am happy with the general gist of the interview.

I also had already renewed the 3 ST's I buy earlier in the week, as just because I raise what I believe to be legitimate concerns about how the club is run, it does not stop me being a supporter and having its best interests at heart.

Running a double glazing firm is a very different job to running a RL club, hopefully AG is learning that.
None of what we know now would have come out but for rumour, maybe they are symbiotic but in a perfect world the former would negate the latter.

Yes great interview with AG. Really had no ideal that the France fiasco had left us so much out of pocket and also things like the Leeds game being cancelled causing us again to be stretched. Also the new appointments are very good news.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, I don't envy the job they have running this club, especially at Belle Vue.

It's quite clear that some things we don't even think about have a massive bearing on the finances of the club.
I think an update like this say every 3-4 months would put the scaremongers out of business!
