lost to Leigh 12-36 in the first ever match at their new stadium! Not good! You'd think having a new stadium you'd want to kick off in style.

On the face of it i suppose its not great but of course it depends on squads and the games importance.

No one will remember if things work out for Salford.

And no one will forget if it doesnt

For their first game at the new stadium, the club should have made an effort to get people into the ground at least, don't know what side they put out so can't comment on the result.

Limited capacity for today's game. The stand you've shown wasn't open. Today was reduced to 5k. It was basically a requirement to get the health & safety certificate.

For the game itself, it was our 1st team bar 2 or 3 players against a patched up Leigh team and I'm not exaggerating to say that that scoreline flattered us (Salford). Was a woeful way to open the stadium.

Maybe they charged more than a tenner to get in.

At least they've got their new stadium sorted hopefully in 18 - 24 months time we will be playing our first game at Newmarket until then we can't really comment on other clubs

I think the point is, it seems they have made a few mistakes and had problems with their new stadium we hope Wakefield dont make the same mistakes and have the same problems..

I can understand why people would wait until the razzmattaz of the first proper fixture. It's like finding your Christmas presents early. You feel like you want to know, but it just takes the shine off the big day .

Well I hope they get a full house for their first league fixture and everything goes well for them this year (except against us) Salford fans arent a bad bunch and have suffered in a similar way to us other the years!

Exactly. It shows what a mockery the licensing system really is.

Winning games, having a good youth set up, good attendance etc etc really do count for nothing these days.
