| According to the LE he has rejected Trinity's offer and wants to go to Huddersfield, who in turn may be sending three players back in return due to salary cap restrictions.

| Very dissappointed if true. Would have to be a very, very good player/players in exchange.
I don't get why shudds would want another centre unless they see him as a full back.
Are they obsessed with our players.

| Well Aaron looked a lot of people in the eye and told them he was DEFINITELY staying at Wakefield after the last match of the season.
I will be very dissapointed if he leaves

| Danny Kirmond, Andy Raliegh and Kyle Wood are the 3 players mentioned.
Kirmond and Raleigh - yes, but why sign Wood I don't know. He hasn't established himself yet and we already have halves trying to do that. We need more experience in the halves - and yes, Sam would be an improvement, but is that enough?
Happy to be wrong on all counts!

I hate Huddersfield. LAst time I spoke to Smurph he said he was staying he just wanting wakey to progress as a club. I wouldnt want any of those players mentioned for Smurph Kermit is average, Raleigh is past it and Wood is crap. We need to give smurph a good offer to stay. Give Smurph hendos money ontop of what hes on now or Hickeys money.

| Be a blow if and when it happens but if he thinks the grass is greener then there isn't much we can do. Was kind of hoping these days were gone and we'd make a stand with this one but I guess theres no point keeping an unhappy player and then letting him go for nothing at the end of the season when we can cash in now. He's going to be spending a lot of time sat in the stands if he goes but thats his choice. Is he better than Cudjoe, McGillivray, Grix, Lawrence & George? Anyway good luck to him, he'll need it.
As for the rumoured replacements, Kirmond & Raleigh I can just about see the merit in to give the squad depth but Wood is garbage.

If the halves are going to a choice between Obst,Lee,Wildie,Moore and Wood we are really going to struggle.

| He may have got Smurph for Fullback? I heard there was a turd in the cats bar that Hudds tried to sign also. Until we get this ground we may allways be a selling club. Surely they wont be offering Smurph top whack. We surely can give him a better offer he is quality! Dip into 1873 fund he is techniqually a developing young british player. I thought this fund helped this.

| If murph is to go, please let us have a player that Is not a cast off. Brough for Murphy for example..
Kirmond is ok, wouldn't want Raleigh or wood. We have better than wood in Moore and potentially Kaye.
We need a half or prop of good quality.

It's the old dilema again - do you force a player to stay if they don't want to? Does having them around disrupt the rest of the squad? Does letting them go signal weakness? Can we get a better deal for the club? .......
We have done this well in the past - but the 4 for 2 deal by Toppo was a long, long time ago and I just don't think we should use our salary cap keeping Wood in a full time contract!
If the other rumours have any truth in them - Washbrook / Dowes / Obst, then you have almost exactly the same match up in positions - which makes this deal with Shudds look very strange. Given that they are signing a back, after signing another back from us, would we be better looking at their players in those positions - after all, most of them will have to be 'rotated' and, if I was a player, I would want to be playing, not carrying water bottles!

Thing is all there backs have either just been signed or have just signed long-term contracts this year. We will end up with the 'dirty' end of the stick again out of this one.

| Thought Murph had a year left on his contract. Make him stay. Murph is a decent lad he is not a to##er like Solo or Brough who held the club to ransom when they wanted a move - I think Murph has told the club he wants away but if we refuse his request I believe he will still give 100% in the last year of his contract.

| Murphy is a solid centre defensively but has not set the world on fire in attack. Would be sad to see him go, but i would take Kirmond, Raleigh and Wood in exchange. Kirmond is a very good back rower who can cover the backs. Raleigh gives us good depth in the back row and at prop. Not sure about Wood at 7, but would take him as hooker cover. If Murphy wants away then let him go.

| I'm off the opinion that we should make a stand. Make him see out his contract, if that means him sitting in the stands every week so be it. But we must show a strong stance with regard to want away players.
Huddersfield will still have salary cap problems regardless of whether they take on Murphy or not, so the liklihood is that Raleigh or Kirmond will still be available anyway.

| Murphy seems like a decent lad and has given good service to WTW.
However, he's young, has a short career and if Mr Burns is waving big money at him, he'll take it, just like any of us with half a brain would. That said, Mr Glover should take a really tough stance on his contractual obligations in my view and make Shudds dig deep - maybe if we send a strong message under this new regime, they'll look elsewhere for a club with less cash to use in place of a decent Academy set-up.
Of the the three players rumoured to be heading this way, I don't see that we have a use for Wood, but Raleigh and Kirmond would be useful additions.

| IF they are releasing 3 for salary cap reasons, how do we fit them in with a lower spend?
Kirmond did alright for us, but if we are in a position to choose rather than just accept scraps, I would hope we could do better, he has looked ordinary last couple of weeks, never rated Raleigh.
And if Wood is 1 of them, is someone just trying to collect as many Kyles as possible?

| But is it the old dilema ?, he did'nt go when we were in a far worse position early season, we must be in a far stronger position now to be able to say to shudds we want so and so player or bog off, he is our player and under contract. Never mind all this cash in now b--l---s.
To me how we deal with this situation says a lot about our future in relation to our own juniors.
Tongia is another I don't get, this lad is something special and should have been tied up ASAP.

Got to agree with that one - surely we didn't scout him, bring him over, take care of all the attendant admin in respect of visa, RFL clearance etc, only for another club to reap the benefits?

| I'm favouring towards making Murphy see out his contract. He doesn't strike me as the Darrell Griffin type who would sulk and not perform. He would still give 100% in any game he's selected to play in.

I'd go with that as well. Tell him to stay and see out his contract then he can go and play for whoever he wants to next year. If we have a decent season next year (which I think we will) then he may want to stay.
If he doesn't go for it, he can play in the reserves all season for mine.
