Great bar service tonight staff in waistcoasts plenty of bar staff. Even dog poo alley as got pebbled also the toilet as extra light bulbs I am not being sarcastic I am just saying they are small improvements but great ones. I really hope Mr Glover gets a fresh start in our new ground to make us great again he deserves it. Trouble is at the moment we have a team of tryers but no class. I like it because they all have pride in there shirts but we aint good enough.

. Just wish Mr Glover took over us 10 years ago and we would have been built as a real force instead of a selling cub.

Floodlights were a lot better.

The bar service in the bottom bar at the Benidorm flats and at the beer van in the corner was absolutely abysmal,went about 19.45 and didn't move an inch till I left at 20.10,went to the van and didn't get served for 25 minutes,not one to moan usually but in seasons gone by you've walked up and been served,dire!!!

yes the floodlights was brought up to to the standard that their should of been, does it not show how the old regime just ran the club down

I queued for twenty mins and with not getting any joy I decided to move on,
it wasn't for being impatience rather than standing listing to a group of wire fans who had had a few already rip the club to bits about how poor our clubs stadium was.



eh the irony not only did they look too young to drink they wouldn't of even remember the hole of a ground they left behind.

I do hope when we get our new stadium that we don't go down that road

over all I thought the club is trying to get to grips with the run down state of the club and we shouldn't forget that.

what we need to do is put our match day experiences to the club so that they can get it these things sorted.

on arriving late just before half time I notice the gates still open, we parked up and walked to cats bar entrance where the main gate was locked so I turned around to enter at the shop entrance, on getting there that was shut as well,
a steward had noticed us do that and met us at the shop gate to allow us in.

now that was as little as it was a very good service I could of walked away in frustration not being able to get in.

I am not sure why the queue for the bar on the Western Terrace was so big but it could have been due to the fact that they were pulling pints as opposed to just handing out bottles. I was stood right infront of the van and the two guys behind the bar didn't stop serving all night which is good for the revenues but maybe there needed to be 4 in there instead of two I am sure if we let the club know Mr Glover will do his best to sort it out.

There is normally 3-4 bar staff on that bar which would have helped last night,but the guys behind the bar weren't helped by the beer been too gassy which made it longer to pull a pint,if this is the only thing we've got to complain about it just shows how far the club is going in the right direction!.

We may not get a francise but with Mr Glover in charge i'm alot more optimistic about the future of our great club,keep up the good work.

Maybe we should adopt the Hull way of serving drinks. Pay & collect

Also thought the bottom bar in the flats was for Wakey fans only



When half time came so did some undesirables from Warrington singing and using bad language

I also went to the bottom bar in the benidorm flats. Waited about 15-20 mins for a pint. Whilst they only had two people serving, alot of time was spent waiting for the lager or bitter pump. Might be an idea to reduce the selection on offer to better use the pumps e.g. 3 Carlsberg pumps, 2 Tetley's. It's a small bar, but the potential is there to make alot of cash and i'm sure the service will improve in future

lets look at what has happened so far. Bulbs in the floodlights,improvements to the bar a few new huts selling programmes. All great improvements that were long overdue.

However they are little things that will not have cost a great deal to do. What I want to see is Mr glover making a REAL impact ! The only way that will happen will be for him to get his hand in his pocket and make a difference where it really matters and thats on the pitch.

When I see that starting to happen I will be much happier but as far as I am concerned , The Jury is still out on Mr Glover

Thats a bit harsh! he's only been in charge a few weeks and there is a lot to do to make the club better run, you cant make a judgement on anyone yet. At least changes are being made, better than the status quo year after year which we had before..

Seems mr Glover has done more in a few weeks than the last owners did in years

Lots of little improvements, going a long way to make the best of our tired old ground.
The matchday experience is certainly heading in the right direction on the whole and there seems to be a air of positivity around the ground perhaps aligned with a real sense of reality that our squad is not strong enough, but hey where all in it together.
Together we definitely seem to be stronger and a bit happier?

I'm sure quite a few years ago there was a bottle bar set up at the end of the room. Maybe an idea to do this again as would cut down on the queue at the bar. Went in the supporters bar last night around 7 and had no problem being served but the queue t 7.45 was long and didn't seem to be moving. Top marks though for the TV screens, think it will take all Wakey fans a bit of time to get used to the fact that there is someone in charge who says what he is willing to do and then does it. We've had too many false dawns over the past few years. I honestly believe if the right player came up and they wanted to come to wakey he would put the money up.

Mr Glover has come in and clearly made improvements in and around the club as well as the facilities as previous posters above have highlighted. The little things like toilet paper in the toilets, light bulbs replaced, painting done etc etc. I also remember them stating that they can go to maximum salary cap if they chose to.
After that statement I would have expected some decent signings and admittedly it would be difficult at this stage of the season, but there has been no such signings of any calibre apart from young inexperienced kids really, so is that all Wakey can expect ??
Its no secret that unless a small miracle happens wakefields fate is already decided, and it appears to me like that has been accepted and therefore the club are clearly not going to be bringing in any high profile players and spend up to the cap, or to be honest come anywhere near the cap. Mr Glover wont be bringing anyone in and will carry on with what you have until the decision is confirmed at the end of this month (although I think he knows already) and then he can justify why he wont be spending on players this season.
I am sure as a club and a business they will want to keep hold of the cash, as well as the parachute payments the club will receive next season, and then probably be able to put together a very competitive squad for the championship campaign in 2012.

It's not until July when the club if any are told there not been awarded a franchise Ive got a feeling there will be a few twists and turns that will happen before then

The only twist or turn could be potentially two going up.....if you really believe otherwise then your either Ralph Rimmer or just clinging to false hope. I really hope your right as its a complete f but i think deep down its a formality

Pretty much sums it up !! ''every little helps'' as they say and all ready there is an all round better match experience for the fans ... With the stadium we have theres not gonna be massive improvements but enough to get ppl talking and keep the bank balance ticking over £££!!! The main source of income however still remains the performances on the pitch but the cheap beer, the use of the hospitality, food and merchandise been sold around the ground - it all helps ...

As has been stated on another thread Andrew Glover has to receive paperwork from the RFL before he can start signing players on, apparently this will take a few weeks, hence the delay.
