- I live near the ground, just got back and am soo dissapointed and ashamed of the way we played.
First 20 minutes we had all the ball on there line, we had no ideas, no spark and tbf it was only a slice of luck that got blaymire a try. Huddersfield then gathered one of MANY interception passes, and I belive rooney tracked all the way back
and tackled and made hudds man get a mistake so credit to him for that, apart from that his kicking was awful, and made zero opportunities.
Hudds absolutely crucified us down our right hand side (gleeson & jd) similar to wigan game walk in try's for hodgson, then gleeson was taken off. At HT 6 - 14
They bullied us in the forwards, were making break after the break through the middle, fell for robinson dummy time and time AGAIN. They looked disintrested in the 2nd half and hudds scored nearly a point a minute, this time jd guilty of giving away a interception, then someone else did, and it got worse and worse as the game went on.
I was right near corner when they scored and believe george broke his wrist and gleeson came back on and was poor again.
They couldnt tackle, had no ideas in attack, couldnt keep hold of the ball, couldnt stop them offloading, and they were better than us in every department, hudds played well but certainly not as well as they could we were absolutely dire.
I heard that this was suppose to be the best week of training kear had seen this season, kear was quoted after scully/brough incident that this had unified the team, I couldnt see anything to back this up.
Why didnt winterstein, wilkes play?
[uProblems[/u
Players again being played out of posistions
Too many changes once subs came on no consistency,
Getting killed outwide and now since george has (serious-ish looking injury we HAVE to get someone on loan.
The forwards looked knackered,
The backs didn’t know how to defend properly
No-one running at angles
Why do we never offload
The kick chase is bloody awful
Worrying thing is with no brough or drew we lacked ideas, are we solely dependant on these two to create opportunities as the only thing martin does is a kick through on the 3rd tackle with no one supporting. Rooney well not good enough plain and simple, obst try's as does latu but not too much can create from 9.
On a side note, I saw in the stands on the side, fergie, drew, brough, peto, blanch, (and a few more ive forgot) but couldnt see sculthorpe at all, was he told not to come, if not why isnt he supporting his team mates.
And a special mention to both sets of fans who did the adam watene walk, you certainly made the big man proud
unlike 17 players on the pitch.
