My mate at work said that Stanningley have brought in 6 players who played pro last year i am thinking about going because this could be taisty.

As DD says Stanley Rangers are at home against Egremont with a 2.30 ko,going to be an interesting season i think for us with a few new players and the long term injured players coming back fit for the start of the season.Think the team is capable of a top 4 finish but only if they stay fit and tuffen up a bit.

Not heard anything about 6 new players coming in, suspect they will still have some players playing for Bramley in the summer conference.

Key to an amateur teams season, also injury free.

stanley rangers ran away with the points in a good second half performance leading 12-6 at half time and at the final score 48-16, first time in seeing them and enjoyed the match well done lads

yep good performance defended well up the slope turned round just in front then opened up down the slope looked a well balanced team couple of ex superleague players ( one a ex prop playing stand off

) looks like he has a decent pair of hands though m.o.m for me

I arrived when the score was 6-6 and it looked more even than the score suggests. Its the first time I have seen the open age play on their and realized that the second half the flood gates would open, and Stanley would be able to take advantage of the slight wind and the slope, must be grooling to play up that slope

cross fingers and depending on the amount of rain that has fallen, Stanley Rangers under 11s should be playing their first friendly this weekend against Dudley Hill at home, both I and Lewis have been looking forward to the first game and now the game is all depends on the weather, if its called off we might be able to reverse the fixture or play it at the JJB

I for one aren't going to let today's get me down this weekend as Stanley Rangers under 11s season gets under way, first full game for my lad in over 9 months, they play Dudley Hill at home at st peters school field K.O. 11-30 am all welcome

Stanley Rangers drew their first of the season 6-all to Dudley Hill, cracking game end to end action, they took the lead and held on to it until into the second half where we managed to level the scores up with a try from Lewis and the kick from Harry.

next sat we are playing Methley at home KO 11-30

I went down to watch the shaw cross game, they lost 26-36 was winning at one stage but lost energy in the end

Crawley and Spud down at dewsbury rams,spud just signed for them and craws been playing first team down there,Robbo in the navy now but trys to get back most weekends and plays for us.

i was playing 9 and we matched them until the last 10 mins when like you say we ran out of gas,not bad going though for a team of fowards lol!,we struggled to get a team and at 1 point we were going to play with 10 men just so we didn`t give the game away!.
Total of 17 players missing this weekend from the squad so thing are looking quite good when they all come back and both teams will be a lot stronger!.
First team beat Lock Lane 20-14 i think for 2 wins on the trot now.

Stanley under 9s kicked off season in fine style with a 48-4 win.
