Interview in the yorkshire post, read it and see what you guys think,to me it not an interview of anyone planning on leaving the club

“It’s a better year to finish bottom” reminds me of “did you think we could beat St Helens.” What is the point of being in charge of a rugby club with an attitude like that.

The problem seems to be that Carter and Minards have been planning for the Championship since last October

I wouldn’t get too worked up about a newspaper article, even one with quotes. It usually comes from a far more detailed conversation & is edited down with particular focus on points that will generate interest & cause the reader to return to the same site for news.

Many of us on here have already calculated and commented regarding the IMG scoring potential.
I see Castleford have a report in the Yorkshire Post where they similarly run through what they need to do to get their IMG scores up. They mention stretching the WDC community fund gift £2m for a surprising number of those things.

I would love to see the preliminary IMG scores that were issued a few weeks back of all the clubs.

Sure does and now they have achieved that, they really intend to take us places in the season after, Cornwall for instance

Reminds me of that comment too, and also targetting survival in the MPG in 2015, when the season was only weeks old.

It does appear like its been the intent all along, and all theyre doing, is playing roulette with the clubs future, both in the short and long term.

There is no wonder we are where we are, with negativity and such a lack of ambition, with these at the top. The sooner they go, the better

What would you have liked him to say?

We will be leaving the club at the end of the season and handing over the club to a new owner with the resources we lack.

They've already said that.....providing Ellis takes over.

What was uninspiring? That he's aiming to be a grade A club?

Starting with an apology to fans would be a good start, followed by actually leaving the club and stopping the silly delay tactics

Stop being childish and tell us what he should have said that would be inspiring.

An apology won't change how I feel about where the club is.

He's stated his willingness/intention to leave.

Apart from the tin-foil brigade, there is nothing out there that shows that Minards is the speedbump in the takeover.

I'd have liked to hear that the takeover is on track/nearly done/completed, but it clearly isn't.

So what's more inspiring that aiming to be the best?

I’ve told you unless I missed his comment confirming he was leaving, all I read was a man trying to justify why he should remain because of his understanding of the IMG rating.

It’s a good interview and sounds we are alll over the IMG process and long term aim of a grade A. Yes it sad we’re looking like getting relegated but not end of the world especially if take over goes through. If all goes to plan we are/will be in a better position than a few clubs already in SL.
