Anyone noticed how bad the current Trinity TV is, the camera man - called Andy is not fit for purpose, The shear amount of instant camera shaking is dreadful, amateurish & sadly TC who I have tremendous respect for cannot recognise players & what the action occurrences are. Put simply its not worth the money to watch after being at the match. Also if the RFL discerplinery people ask for video then we cannot defend the players as the camera shaking is so bad, the zoom in & out is also out of focus, put simply, sad to say its pathetic.

The recording that Sky and the RFL use is from the half way line so obviously not using the Trinity footage. Our viewpoint from the hospitality boxes end really is a poor option but better than nothing. Think it was during Kear's time that we switched to that angle and I've never been a fan of it.

I can put up with the location of the viewing but the camera constantly shaking badly & out of focus + fast forwarding briefly is very bad & therefore poor, it reflects on the club & its lack of ability to do things right, ie be professional, sorry about the criticisms but it is what it is !!!!!

Well, it ain't Sky that's for certain but I don't suppose we're working with a Sky production budget.
I have to say, the balcony of the Benidorm flats with 50 fans going berserk on it doesn't seem like the most stable of platforms to shoot 120yards away slo mos from.
You could always pay for Sky to not be able to identify players correctly aaaand watch every single Wakey game home and aw...........oh wait !
Seriously though. I think TC does a difficult job really well, who cares if he mis identifies a few players, makes wrong calls, moans about the refs signals, its all part of his charm, he doesn't have 5 talking heads, the refs earpiece and on pitch interviewers around him, he has to do the whole thing himself on the fly from start to finish, no gaps, pregnant pauses silent interludes, nothing, just solid commentary as he see's it, I kinda like it like that.
I am hoping though, that when the new stand is finished there'll be a decent bit of concrete to stand a this camera tripod on, and we get side on coverage..

They can do better with the camera.

But TC is a legend of the club, both as a player, a coach and a broadcaster. I find the comment a little disrespectful.

Should we return to a side on viewpoint I would hope that it is from the west and has the new east stand to look at rather than as a base. Looking towards the western terrace would be a very poor option.

The camara angle is terrible, but if you want to see players not identified properly, watch a sky game and come back. TC does the best with what he can work with!

Yes it could be better… but I have no problem with value for money… but I speak as someone who can’t get to live games.

A gimbal is urgently required for the camera , when the lens is at full exposure any movement whatsoever makes the camera judder uncontrollably, and fans jumping up n down on the veranda is the problem . Simple fix really . I’m sure they are planning to film from the new stand which will negate the problem . That try with the fantastic off the floor pick up by Atoni was completely unwatchable. Like everything else in life the better the equipment the better the quality

There are no problems with the cameras that use the structure above the western terrace so why switch to the east side and have our worst facet for all to see? Would be crazy imho

I’ve no idea why they are positioned at the far end , it certainly isn’t ideal , but things should improve dramatically when they get away from the Benidorm flats and all it’s bouncing about

No need to be so offensive, TC has acknowledged the technical difficulties caused by trying to film from a bouncing platform and apologised for it. It would be better from the Sky camera position, but I seem to recall sky objecting to them being there. If you want professional class broadcasting it'll cost you a lot more than £50...as it is it can be frustrating, but worth it for TC's biased commentary alone.

Calling Andy not fit for purpose is very disrespectful, The reason why the camera is shaking so much is because the Non playing players and coaching staff are stood next to them and are jumping up and down with excitement hence the vibration on the camera and shaking.

I don't care which stand they shoot from as long as its a side view and not subject to camera shake
Probly would be better if the new stand is the backdrop for televised games, but for trinity tv I'm not at all fussed

I'm sure that when it started they said they'd put both viewing angles up, but then they were booted out of the side view by sky.

Even though it's a bit wobbly I'm still enjoying the Wigan match.

I’m sure I’ve heard that from TC in one of the recent games that they will be filming from the new stand .

Great value for 50 quid.I enjoy the games but agree with the poster about TC's commentary.I once mentioned how much better it was when Connor stood in one week and got slated.Camera definitely needs to be sighted facing the new stand.

For me its one of the best initiatives from the club since the time you could buy dvds/videos from the shop. For 4.99 its well worth every penny
