.Only 11 games left and with Cas six points ahead, we simply have to start winning some of our home games.
Salford, along with Leigh, have been a surprise package this season, playing an open, fast, running game and it certainly wont be easy.
However, with the advantage of home support, maybe, just maybe we can gain win no 2.

We probably need to win 6 of our last 11 matches because Castleford will win at least once or twice again and they have a huge points difference advantage.

There is only one [u=#FF0040very unlikely[/u way that we can do this and that is for a new owner to throw a ridiculous amount of money at half a dozen top class players and bring in a proven coach by next week!

Outside of that we can not avoid finishing at the bottom of the League and no amount of positivity, rose tinted & misplaced loyalty or head in the sand thinking will change that.

That’s not to say or suggest that we don’t get behind the club and the players but even the most ardent and positive fans must now realise that we are cheering them home in last position

The point being Avenger.....we are cheering them home.....regardless.

We are down barring some miracle, its about next season and getting us in a position to be better in the future. Hopefully the final few game will bring some enjoyment to the match day experience.

On field excitement comes from tries scored unfortunately we have so far only scored 21 which compared to TJ who has scored 20 on his own. The supporters can support but the team must do their bit it’s not a one way street but sadly for most of this season it as been.

Did you enjoy Leeds and Hull KR then?

This season as been so bad that we are now just happy to accept mediocrity providing we show some effort if very little skill. I agree Leeds was a win but Hull KR was still no points on the league table. How did you view our other 14 games did you enjoy them because in the majority of cases I didn’t due to the fact they made us a laughing stock to the league and for this the current incumbents and their rapidly appointed coach are entirely to blame. They have of course not taken any responsibility for this, the coach at any other team would have been removed, I can only presume he is good at golf.
The only positive that may come out of this season is the removal of the current incumbents who I fear what they would have done to the team when in the championship.

I'm not Scarlets biggest fan but come on, we got 2 tries against HKR.... TWO! Is that really a cause for excitement or celebration. If so it just shows how low we have sunk.

I did enjoy the game though. Was refreshing after all the other stuff we've had to watch.

Personally, i really cant see this squad winning anything like enough games to stay up. What is keeping me interested is the fact new people are comming in and i know they are already looking at positives things. Cant wait for the day the present owners have gone and we can start to sort out their mess and build back up stronger.
So i see the rest of the season just treading water in preparation for what should eventuallly be a much better time than we have had to endure over the last few seasons

If they do not get rid of the coach it will be the same dross next year in the championship .Fans who I admire as they made the trip to Hull ,came away in a great mood,because we scored two trys, and said how well Gale played. Gale is 35 We need a Coach who can be trusted to bring in youth .We have have got one of the worst teams ever because the coaches went for a team full of age . The Leeds win was a one off , a young team with four older players to guide them round the park. The coach learnt nothing by the look of the team against HKR. Still bringing back players who are some of the worst I have seen in a Waky shirt

I'm sure everyone who went were disappointed with the result and our failure to finish off some more chances but surely you shared the enjoyment of the rest of the crowd with the rugby on display.

They are a big loss to them but they've got some good depth so let's see how they go.

The current weather forecast isn’t good for Friday night. Heavy rain particularly around ko time. I don’t know if that’s a benefit or not for Trinity, but if we are good enough on the night we’ make our own luck.

As bad weather is usually a leveller it will probably benefit us.
Despite their injuries Salford will still be hot favourites.

It’s pretty well known that Salford have one of the thinnest squads around, especially in the spine positions. With them also coming off a short turnaround and back to back defeats then this ones there for the taking.

They also have Trinity’s, drop goal winner bogeyman, Sneyd, the times he’s done us whoever he’s played for

They will still have Sio, Lafai, Watkins and Burgess feeding off Sneyd across the backline. That's where we'll struggle to contain them if anywhere.

Win this game and it re-instates some hope assuming Cas don’t win again.

If we don’t beat Salford at home then I think it would be pretty much time to start considering building a very strong Championship team for next season. The games are unfortunately starting to run out and there is no more excuses. If we want to be in the top flight we must win on Friday and continue winning. For me we are looking at 5-6 wins so that’s around 50% or a bit more.

In your dreams 5 to 6 wins could come next year and a few more in the Championship
