Lee Gaskell departs Wakefield Trinity.

He helped secure last season playing well in centre. Made some solid contributions overall. It’s probably not having a sustained run in a position didn’t help either. Wish him well.

Did ok in the towards the end of last season but was half crocked when he arrived and it never really got any better for him. For what we were paying him he was a very poor signing.

Thank God for that. Lineham and Hood next please.

Seems a no brainer to go to Fev. They just lost two half backs.

He should never have played six at Wakey you could see from his first game he didn't look the part. But Mash persevered & it just didn't get any better

Should never have been signed, Chester rebuild as put us were we are now .Watching players like Hampshire, Hall ,Bachelor, and other players leaving the club and been replaced by dross,and players that should be no were near Championship rugby never mind S L .as destroyed the club. ..A lot of so called fans are glad to see Mr Carter and J M go but look what they have left as soon as you walk in the ground ,some thing to be proud of. Pity the so called coaches could not do the same. Do not start on about short of cash ,it was there when Chester started the rebuild ,but was wasted on players that were championship standed or past there sale by date Call me bitter ,but to watch a team i have watched for 69 years been destroyed over the last four years by Coaches not up to the job is hard to take

Talk of Lynn coming to back to Hull next season, possibly this season, what are your thoughts, not convinced myself, seems injury prone and out of form?

exactly that, injury prone and out of form. Actually can't remember when he had a decent game for us

End of 2021 he finished quite strong and was in pretty good form. Been a shodow of that player in 22 and 23.

That won’t take away from the good service he’s given over the years to trinity but recent times he’s lost his mojo. My opinion is billed up too much and lost his mobility but doesn’t seem to punch his weight and hasn’t adapted his game to a more direct style.

He's been a great servant of Trinity but, he's never quite been forgiven by a certain section of fans for having been brought in by Agar.
An excellent defender and strong runner, although he's lost half a yard of pace. Not the best passer of a ball, apart from a back of the hand pass for his wingman.

He's great, and I'm a fan, but he's 5 yards of pace behind Swift

Swift is a huge loss, really hard to replace, not much quality available.

Lynn and BJB, was one of the better centre wing partnership I have seen at Wakefield . Can say when\if he moves on all the best, One of the better players to wear the shirt .10 years service sums it up for me

I forgot to mention that Linham is under contract…. But I think most fans would be happy if we waved a fee for him..

I think most would be happy for us to pay a fee for Hull to take him.

Lynn has been a very popular player so most Wakey fans have been willing him to get back into some sort of form, sadly he hasn't been able to respond. I actually thought our upturn last season corresponded to Lynn's injury and subsequent absence from the team.
We are also covered for the running sidewards across the pitch with every carry by Kershaw these days too.
