I've heard a rumour today that IMG's preference is for a 14 team Superleague with (likely Fev and one other club) being promoted at the end of this season and NO relegation.
Has anyone else heard this ??

All I've heard is that they'll go beyond 12 teams if they are all A grade.

I can't see any other club backing a plan to save us.
Maybe if we can put some pressure on Hull.

It could account for why we changed our stance on the vote ??

That rumour was started on social media by a Wakey fan! The criteria clearly states 12 teams at the outset. It will only go above that once there is more than 12 grade A's.

Wishful thinking on behalf of one of our own supporters although all it would mean is we have another season of awaiting us.

It always has and was made common knowledge a long time ago.

Fev go up this season then we could go up next with higher IMG score.

No idea if true or not but would it change the clubs approach.
For me the club would have to take a total different path.
I'm bloody sick of the clubs owners who have made no attempt to take the club forward and compete, it's almost like this season was planned.
Its impossible to implement what Trinity have and expect anything other than relegation. If survivals handed to us on a plate I doubt very much the club would change or have learned any lessons from this season

I know. Its like Jeez, couldn't they have at least tried to build a stadium that would give us minimum criteria for Super League or make the club a viable concern financial.

The ground 7stadium had to be improved it was a safety hazard and needed improvements in the modern eara.

I'm not defending them. I'm just pointing out the really massive thing you are ignoring.

They are not perfect and have absolutely done some things that haven't worked out.
But to say they have done nothing to move us forward is incorrect. HTH

Well what they have Don could well set us back years

I saw a post the other day from a bloke on RW&B saying "we won't go down" in almost a "nod nod, wink wink" manner.

I think it's rubbish personally. Even if it saves us, why would the RFL / Img make such a drastic move and blow any credibility that they have built up so far?

We aren’t even helping the cause if it was true which I doubt. If it was the RFL would be thinking they are just taking the micky by running the cheapest squad and the performances tantamount to bringing the game into disrepute.

RFL and credibility don't go in the same sentence

The RFL made a point in their IMG statement last week of saying that P&R will still be happening this season. We’re done.

Same bloke saying same thing now on the post on RW&B (Proctors Holiday snaps).

Quite frankley, after what we have served up this season, we don't deserve to stay in SL.

Does it not come into being in 2025 season, anyways given the efforts you are making with stadium it should be Castleford that goes down or is their magic stadium actually getting built.

Or the Salford are in financial trouble rumour we are saved, and we knew all along that’s why we didn’t spend anything on the squad.
