Been a sad day really but she's had a good innings and it does come to us all.

She was the link between the old Britain and the new. People will soon come to realise what a buffer she was against all forms of extremism.

Elizebeth Windsor had a good life and a long one and in that respect there is no need for sadness.

Queen Elizebeth II the institution is a huge loss - I find it impossible to believe we will ever again find anyone who was simply happy to serve. No ego, no dogma, just the Queen.

RIP Queen Elizabeth II. Earned and commanded respect in all walks of life.

For 32 years I served her after taking the oath what a privilege to serve such an outstanding dedicated Public Servant RIP Ma'am.

RIP your Majesty

Watching the coverage from both the BBC and interestingly CNN, FOX Aus, Canada it’s amazing the reverence across the world for THE Queen. There are other Royal families across the world but none come close to the global impact of the UK Monarchy.

The CNN coverage in particular has displayed an awestruck respect and amazement of the military pageantry and tradition on show. They’ve exclaimed a number of times that no other nation has this level of historic military ceremonial tradition behind it

An amazing piece of history today.
Just the fact that a 73 year old man, at his mums funeral walked all that way with no pause was pretty outstanding but the pageantry and military precision is awe inspiring.
Proud of my country and Royal Family today.

What about those pipes and drums at the beginning of the procession this morning. Amazing.

I’ve marvelled at the scale and precision of the ceremonies and despite never intending to watch the funeral I haven’t moved from it once. Watching the Queens personal piper walk away with the sound of his pipes fading while the Queens coffin was lowered was the one point where I filled with emotion.

Thought the very young pallbearers were exceptional as well.

Outstanding display today for HM send off. The services were brilliant hats off to the RN with the gun carriage escort and the Genadier Guards carrying the Queen.
Hats off ladies and gents for such a sad occasion you all did the Queen the King and the nation proud. Nowhere in the world can touch our pageantry. Emotional yes and for me proud of my public service.

A very moving occasion full of pomp and pageantry like only this nation can do.

I too marveled at the pallbearers doing their job with accuracy, oak coffin with lead lining must have been quite heavy
