I’m presuming the one year is to see how he gets on with injuries and form, if he’s back in the England Knights set up then I’m sure he’ll have some offers on the table come the end of next year.

Yep, delighted with this. I got told that he wasn't happy with the amount of game time he was getting under Chezzie so I'm guessing that after some excellent performances since Willie took over he has now been promised more game time next season ??

Imho I think Hampshire has to be a priority to sign. Be invaluable to cover Fb, wing and halfback.

Why would any player get promised more game time. You train and play well, you get more game time. It’s that simple. A coach not picking a player who is training and playing well is just a fans myth.

He's only signed a year because of the amount of money he got offered, and the other teams that were in for him were messing about and also trying to get him cheap

Just speculation on my part obviously, along with what I was told, but with Ashurst, Pitts and Tanginoa all playing the same position then maybe he was training his hardest last year but didn't feel as though he was getting the game time he thought he deserved ??
It would appear that his outstanding performances over the last few games have earned him a new contract and rightly so
