Does anyone know how long a player failing a hia has to take off before returning to play ?

Seem to read somewhere that after concussion it’s 2 weeks and then the player has to pass a medical ?

Quite laughable that the referee didn’t even penalise the obvious cheap shot during the game

It was a big cheep shot ,things Wigan and Catalan get away with they are the two dirtiest teams in Super League by far .The thing is nothing is\or done about it .In OZ it would have been looked at on the screen and would have been 10 mins in sin bin what ever teaming it was. Same with next week disciplinary committee. (If it gets there ) will get one match if that .Not bad for getting the best attacking player of your opponent out of the match .Players have got to be more protected, but as the big teams run S L no it will not happen

The ref had no issues looking back when Bateman challenged the refs decision and gave them the ball after our knock on .It’s not rocket science to know when your star player is left on the floor it’s a good chance there has been some malice in the tackle .

Westerman got one off Singleton aswell ! No action taken on that one.

This may sound silly but he needs to miss Catalans, other wise he will be attacked again resulting with an injury of some sort, that's what they always do to him, he & wakey get no protection, resulting in he will miss more games anyway ????

Yeh it does sound silly! If he's fit he must play its a head knock

I would fear for his career if he went to the NRL, it maybe a dream but the tackle intensity could lead to injury especially to a body carrying past surgeries.

For all the excitement he brings going forward he would have to improve massively in defence, he can tackle but he’s no idea where to stand and I fear he’d be targeted and then slaughtered by the Aussie press. The main concern is keeping him fit enough to play at least half the games a season,

They used to do this years ago with u23s playing first and use them as subs.
Let's face it. You need a big squad to do that. Aussies are always going to be more equipped than we are for that.

Finally for heavens sake a concussion injury has nothing to do with fitness or your body type. It’s pure bad luck for any player and one he isn’t allowed to play through.

We get nervous when TJ gets hit due to 2 ACL’s and the fact that 90% of our match winning potential has gone.

He would have to improve his defence in nrl but he also wouldnt get caught 3 on 1 every week like he does for us think idea of an extra interchange after 2 hia in a team is a good idea looking at player safety in future if we dont do something to counteract hia happening the game may devolve into glorified touch and pass

In Union, an attack to the head is a red card and they use the VR (TMO) to confirm such things.
Perhaps, when a player has to leave the field injured after a tackle, it should be reviewed and action taken where neccessary.

The Wigan player may cop a ban but, that doesn't help Trinity or Johnstone.
