Where do we see ourselves in 2020? Is it going to be a dog fight or half decent season.

I would suggest three possible scenarios

Dogfight
Half decent season
Pressinig for a top 5 finish

As we do not have the final line up for 2020 including where the long term injured are at, it could be any one of the three

Like everyone else, it depends on 1: injuries, 2: form 3: luck.

All you can do is start a season with a team capable of taking advantage of points 2 and 3 and hope point 1 stays at a minimum. I think we have such a team.

All depends on form and injuries to certain players and who else we may or may not be signing.
Hopefully we have fewer injuries at critical times.

The home game against Wigan, where we lost 3 players was a massive turning point last season, which we never really recovered from.

Hoping the new signings give us a boost and on and off the field ,with a decent cup run thrown in .We should be no ones whipping boys next season and be top half of table, as we have retained the bulk of our squad but also added quality as well.lets hope we start the season as we mean to go on , as no one can afford a slow start in this competition

After last season, predictions seem pointless; we had such a good start, and it all fell apart over the space of 2 weekends.

I can't bring myself to do it.

Also, who would have thought Salford would make the GF. Predictions are pretty pointless I agree.

Hoping for

1) Safe league performance without having to look over our shoulders
2) Cup run
3) For god sake beat Cas.

I see us picking up where we left in 2018

There is no way we can have as much bad luck with injuries again

DC has improved the squad
Plus there we may have more coming in still and we have two overseas births left

I see us in the top 5

My heart tells me this is the season that we'll finally shed that Wakefield Trinity hex and take part in a final.
My head tells me that we'll probably be somewhere between 6th and 9th.

That would do me, with a giving Leeds a pasting as well

Sporting Index are apparently the first to give odds on drop from Super League.
They have HKR as favourite for drop, Huddersfield second favourite and Wakefield Trinity third favourite.

Good - we work best as underdogs

I've never been afraid to agree with you mate and you're spot on there.
That doesn't mean we're friends though.

You were doing ok until number 3, unless you were including the reserves and academy.

Unless Toronto make some big signings (and apparently they won't) they must be favourites to go down.
Unless of course they change the rules mid season.

It is what it is and will hopefully give them something to prove.; it is amazing how one season finishing 9th due to be the most injury hit team in the league, makes us in the opinion of the bookies to finish even worse.


People have short memories in Sport & forget what progress Trinity were making up until we were 3rd in the league this season completely unraveled.

It's amazing that Toronto are higher than a fair number of experienced SL Clubs but yet they haven't signed a soul yet and when you look at their squad, I'd have Hull and Hudds ahead atm.

I'll be waiting until Betfair stick their odds up and lay Wakefield to finish bottom if the price is any good.

Think 8 or 9 is about right .Think a lot will depend on what the coaches have learnt from last season .If we pick up injurys in the forwards we can replace and not lose to much power . But over all a few injury to the backs and I think we will struggle to get any higher

Top 5 is a very realistic target. Happy with the signings so far, and hopefully more to come. Just need a bit of luck with injuries this year.

10th/11th

They have TWP finishing above Cas,believe it or not.
The odds had Cas fifth from bottom with TWP one place above in sixth.
Salford were odds showing fourth from bottom, one above Wakefield.
Leeds above Cas, then Hull FC finishing in top four in fourth position, Warrington above them to finish third, Wigan above Wire to finish second in table and finally Saints to finish top with odds of 200 to one on getting relegated.
I'm not a betting man and don't gamble, so God knows how they work out the odds.

They set them up so that whatever the outcome they make a bit of money.

You can’t really expect Saints to fall that far in one season do you?

Anything from 5/12 next season, hopefully 5th
