On the Wakefield Trinity Northstanders page on Facebook, there is talk of Walker and Pitts from London, plus Westerman.

To me if this were true, feel it would be a kick in the teeth for some of our younger players, and a lack of ambition by the club.

I don't think we need Wester an but I'd be ok with Pitts.

Is this the same Pitts that played for Trinity some years ago?

If the rumours of those 3 players are true, id be happy with Pitts, he has shown up very well at London. Iv always liked Westerman so id be happy to have him if the price is right of course. Personally, i find the Walker rumour a strange one, if we have signed him i can only assume that we are losing a pivot, Hampshire? Jowitt? Brough?

Pitts always shows up and puts a good shift in. Westermans over rated gives silly penalties away. knocks on all the time and goes missing. Walker I know very little about.

Which games are you basing your attitude comments on??

I wouldn't want Pitts back on principle.

Any or all of these players is a backward step because non of them are good enough.

Two of the three took part in a victory over Saints earlier today, something none of our lot can brag about. Pitts scored a good try.
I still wouldn't want him back though as he chose to go to Leeds at the earliest opportunity once Wakey had given him the platform.

Maybe a good deal, although I liked huby when on the park, he has had more than his fair share of injuries since joining us ,also maybe looking at losing Kirmond who is going the same way with injuries,so could poss free up some salary cap.

I don't like running players down generally,but, is there any truth about his heavy boozing that some suggest ? However, he has the ability & talent, if he produces it can we back him up for the off loads ? Something we don't do now ? He is not a wide out runner, he is however a close quarter short attack & creator if he has runners ! This based on his current plays when he produces the goods.

Would have thought we needed a prop more than another back rower.

With regards to Jay Pitts, Jay was at the time a player of huge potential hailed by the club & Kear at his late teens to 20. Wakefield was a club that balanced the books by selling a player of two each season. We even touted various players that could stir interest for hundred grand or more. Leeds duly obliged before the end of that season with the tempting offer. Jay was not the finished article & needed more patience & learning time + his body had not stepped into full manhood in spite of being a big size for his age. He was like any player ambitious, Wakey wanted the money so he went ! Went to a Leeds side who had a set side, wonder players which he could not break into. Leeds let him go on loan, Jay became a journey man learning his trade whilst never quite living up to hype & hitting fairly long injuries but not serious ones. He has now hit the experience of delivering his skills, he looks leaner, is professional & now captain realizing plays & team plays.
Question is do we now recognize this, give him a punt & run with him, he does deliver a wide out 2nd rower running forward who is mobile & can pass a ball correctly, much to our previous cost ?
I think Chesie, has no issues with him, especially from the past & Jays past ?
If a player fits & delivers i am all for him, if he wants to use us & or does not deliver, then as per other clubs they need to go/leave etc.
