| Two wingers for starters, Miller for Rooney, as much as I liked him Korky would be out for Fifita, Wood and Randall are better players than Obst and Pauli Pauli has the potential to replace Amor.
Even so, some good players in that team, but I think the current team as a collective is better.

Changing Kear is a massive call PT and I would keep Rooney over Miller.
I like Miller but I think Rooney had a top kicking game, better then we currently have by some distance.
With the quality of wingers we've currently got, it's a bit of a surprise to see Cockayne on there. Again, I thought he was ok but, he's nowhere near Johnstone, BJB and MCB.
Again, Korkidas was trinity through and through but, wouldnt make the 17 at present.

| I'm a big Kear fan but Chester has done something special. I'd happily have them together.
Rooney and Miller was a hard call. I decided on Miller because Brough was already in for the kicking game.
Shows how far we've come in such a short time. Could easily have put Ashurst or Arona in.
Another year and we'd be adding Pauli.
I'm not sure about Blaymire over Grix either but he stays for now.

| 1. Blaymire - Jowitt (liked Blaymire and Grix but this kid has more potential)
2. Tadulala - Tom Johnstone JUST CAN'T BE ARGUED WITH
3. Domic
4. Demetriou - Tupou
5. Cockayne - BJB
6. Rooney - Miller
7. Brough
8. Korkidas - Fifita
9. Obst - Wood (last two seasons best Hooker we have had IMHO and much better than Randell)
10. Watene - England or Huby not bothered
11. Solomona - JUST CAN'T BE ARGUED WITH
12. Elllis - JUST CAN'T BE ARGUED WITH
13. Poching - JD
14. Tim Smith - I'll go with Hampshire because we have an enigmatic genius in Brough and ala Solomona one is enough.
15. Kirmond - fit version
16. Lauititti - to much like Solomona and any team only needs one - so Ashurst for me.
17. Amor - Pauli Pauli
Coach John Kear - Chester and JK as per 2017

Pretty much exactly what I'd go with. The only questions/ doubts I have are -
Rocky, not sure he's done enough yet even over Smith. If he carries on improving he'll be in for me next year. Also maybe Jowitt as well, which like you say is more a potential thing rather than a few seasons of quality. So it's a hard one, because I do/did really rate Blaymire and Grix has also been a real asset to the side since he moved back over and has been a key player in many wins. I thought at the time Blaymire was generally massively underrated by SL fans and pundits and was very good for us for a few seasons.
Got to admit leaving Ali out is a big call but you need an Ashurst type player in your team.
Personally, I wouldn't say Wood is a much better Hooker than Randall or even better per se. I actually like what Randall brings to the team and he's just a different type of hooker to Wood.More strong defensively and although not as small, elusive and quick over 20 meters as Wood, he's got plenty of pace to make breaks like we've seen and you can see why he's been used as lock in the NRL at times. I actually think as a pair in a side they complement each other imo. But rightly over his time here, Wood has hardly put a foot wrong, so gets the place. Whether he's better than Obst I'm with you, he's a better overall Hooker than Sam was and I was a big Obst fan.
Just thinking about this years team imo we've got 3 players that should be up for dream team recognition with Tupou, Johnstone & Fififta.

| Maybe in future but Jowitt and Hampshire don't make our "All time Super League team" yet.
Jowitt hasn't even proved himself to be the best in our current team yet.

For me he has, just as a youngster he makes a number of rookie errors/poor decisions as opposed to being a seasoned veteran and making much worse ones.

But this isn’t Jowitt vs Grix, this is Wakefield’s best - Blaymire for me or even Richie Mathers would come before Jowitt.

True, but then PopTart made a direct comparison between the two. Mathers though?! He mastered the art at arriving just in time to avoid making a tackle.
I would also agree with Vasty and Martin Holland. He was class, but injuries robbed him of a decent career.

| Mathers are you joking lol.
The Mathers who caused us to be in the record books for fastest try conceded by bottling a carry at fev, or the one who booted dead at salford from 20m out when chasing the game rather than put his body on the line. Or is it the one who threw the ball to the injured Dean collis at magic weekend rather than take a tough carry. Biggest waste of a shirt ever, makes grix look like Billy Slater.
Agree with Blaymire as best sl era fullback BTW.

Obst
Lautiti
Watene
England - Never really got the love of Korky. For me, he was a penalty machine, who could never seem to keep hold of the ball in contact.
Agree that Tim Smith was quality, but very inconsistent. Because of this, and if you want consistency, then I would put several half backs in before him.
There are a few of the current team who are very close now, such as Lyne, Ashurst, Wood and Hampshire. Maybe, continued improvement, then this all time SL Team could be different again in a year or so.

| I guess I'm working on the original vote stands unless you chance someone who has played since 2014.
One of the things that makes a difference is that we have a team now.
If Domic or Rooney had played in this team they'd have been lauded at the club.
Even Topliss was not regarded as highly as he should have been until he got to Hull. He was class but they still picked Hughes and Woods in front of him for GB.

Toppo was always highly regarded, Leeds and other top clubs would have done anything to sign him; he just played in an era where there was a proliferation of quality stand offs. You've mentioned the brilliant John Woods and Eric Hughes but, such was Toppo's longevity(GB career ,'73-82 and only 4 caps) his career ran alongside Tony Myler IMO the best of all but for injury,Roger Millward, Dennis O'Neill, John Holmes and many others.
Anyhow back to topic, what about Brad Drew being the best hooker to play for WT in the superleague era but not whilst in a WT shirt If I disregard him then Kyle Wood gets my vote; he just gets better and better.

Glad people still remember Tony Myler who’s career was cruelly ruined by injuries. Imo the best British S/O of all time he’d be brilliant in today’s game. Very nearly the equal of Wally Lewis.
Always thought Wrighty had similar qualities.

| Tony Myler was one of my favourites.
Met him too. Nice humble guy.
If not for injuries he could have been a great.
And only my opinion but I watched every State of Origin and International and many of his club games including ours and Wally was a big step above
